- tblondiCanada33 contributionsOur family of two adults and two children (10 & 12) went on a private tour with Hasan to the Avusor Plateau to walk to the glacier lake, followed by the Huser Plateau for sunset. We booked directly with them. It was an awesome day. We had a rental car, but the roads to these plateaus are horrible, so it's not advisable to use your own, so he drove us around in his 4x4.
First, Hasan is an amazing person and guide. Punctual, friendly, courteous and professional. He knows the area like the back of his hand as he grew up there. His English was also excellent.
As for the trip itself, the glacier lake was beautiful. It was also great for a refreshing dip. It was an easy and pleasant hike up. Then Huser Plateau is also absolutely gorgeous, once the clouds clear up. We kept our fingers crossed all day for the weather to open up as it had been overcast and rainy earlier, but we got really lucky and we got to see a beautiful rainbow and sunset.
