A couple of our party had not done rafting before but the instructor (Pascal) gave a clear briefing, the descent was progressively difficult and the instructor gave clear indirections throughout the descent so you always felt safe. Pascal was fantastic. There was a short coffee / water break provided by Eaurigine mid-descent and the opportunity to have a short swim in the river near the end. - Emma1 contributionMattéo is an amazing instructor. He tailored the session to the groups abilities brilliantly, made it fun as well as challenging and explained everything in perfect English. We would 100% recommend booking a canyoning trip with Mattéo. An amazing trip and one of the highlights of our holiday. Family with 2 boys, one 10 year old and one had just turned 6.
We were very excited to do the trip with all of us.
The build up was great, at the end our 6 year old jumped of the 4 meter ledge, we were all smiling and having fun! Pictures we got through a link afterwards are a great way to look back on this great memory.
When we return to the valley next year we will be doing the next coarse up from this one with the same guide! The staff was friendly and kept a watchful eye on the kids as they traipsed all over the place. I think we were there for 6 hours and the kids never seemed to get tired of it. The big zip line was the hit of the day. We got our moneys worth and then some.
Super close to town, it is in an amazing setting with the old walled city above, the river flowing through and trees and a park. It was a highlight of our time in Briançon. Could do with some written explanation in two o more languages, to ensure all details are understood, but the oral explanation has been OK.

Thomas spoke excellent English and was very friendly. One of our group was a bit nervous about one of the abseils and Thomas came up with a solution and was very supportive. Everyone had a great time and we even got some free photos! highly recommended! We went through the canyon while climbing over rocks, jumping from a few meters altitude into the water, and going through some little “waterfalls”.
The guide was very easy going and patient if someone hesitated to jump into the water. Communication and organization was also clear. As a nice bonus, the guide took pictures from everyone during the trip, so we have a nice souvenir. Spoken in French and English (if requested).
The full magic of the tour starts when it gets dark outside and you can enjoy the night view of the town.
