Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pleasantly surprised me. Hadn’t been since childhood and wasn’t expecting much. Went with a school group this time. It’s was really enjoyable! It’s quite hilly so the walk to the top can be a challenge for elderly people. Lots of interesting animals. The new lion and tiger enclosure is fab. The baby gorilla had the kids rolling with laughter too. And the flamingos fascinated them. Penguins were performing for the kids too. Lots of interaction through the glass. The gift shop is great too.

A lovely experience. The staff in the tea room and spa were lovely. The setting is peaceful and the spa amenities surprisingly good for a small rural spa. I would happily return again and spend longer in the hot tub and pool area. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Visited Sentry Hill 27/7/24 with a friend & thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
You can visit the grounds & museum free of charge but for a very small charge you can visit the house, no need to book ( tours of the house however only take place at weekends, Tele. 0300 123 7788 for more details). Definitely recommend a tour of the house, our guide Audrey was great & brought the history of the house to life.
You will find all the staff very friendly, welcoming & enthusiastic about sharing the history of Sentry Hill

I visited the gardens in September, which are wonderful! Relaxed, naturalistic planting a perfect change to the more formal rigor of many gardens open to the public. I went online afterwards and ordered plants for delivery. These arrived within 2 days in perfect condition. This is the third time I have bought plants from Ballyrobert and I have never been disappointed. They may not look like overblown show plants from an expensive garden centre, but they arrive with strong root growth, and grow up vigorous, disease free and abundantly covered in blossom. Attached a photo of a Helianthus Lemon Queen that I bought there a couple of years back, taken today.

Last night my partner and I saw the play Belfast Actually at the Theatre at the Mill. The play was great- really funny and a great start to Christmas. And what a wonderful venue. Just a really lovely way to spend a Friday evening

Pleasant place with panoramic views of Belfast Lough, playground, little cafe and public toilets. There is also sort of a beach, not really a proper sandy one but enough space that you can have a wander. The views were beautiful and the feel of the place was enjoyable too, everyone who was there seemed happy. It's a good place for families to spend a couple of hours. Also lots of boats to watch if that's your thing.

The play par here is second to none! Facilities for all ages and abilities! There are even a few things in the park wheel chair accessible, as we don’t have any wheel chair users in our family I couldn’t possibly rate these however it’s one of the very few parks that seem
To be so apparent to try to accommodate all! Again like I say just how far this goes I couldn’t possibly judge. The park was clean well maintained and there are toilets easily accessible for those who wait until they are about to pee themselves before announcing ‘I need to the toilet’ and trust me I’ve a couple of those so the toilet facilities being so nearby the play park is a great feature!!!
As for the leisure ctr itself it has every thing you could ask for I guess although some parts do still give a dated feel. We did pay for our oldest son to take swimming lessons here but the method of teaching was questionable to some people o spoke to it about as the instructor dunked them beneath the deep end of the big pool to show she could pull them out, not a technique that went down terribly well with my son but what doesn’t work for some may work for others and we didn’t know at the time that he is autistic which could have also added to the issues he faced, it’s not fair to lay the blame on the instructor it simply didn’t work out for us but the lessons are at good times and very reasonably priced!
All and all great all rounder!

Visited to see Coronation garden which was lovely. Also walked around the park which was well kept with good parking, plenty of seats & picnic tables, good toilet facilities & a good foodie cart. Also good access to the coastal path

A bit difficult to find but if you go to the very back of the modern Rashee Cemetery you will find the old Cemetery. The sign and gravesite map at the gate are a bit deceiving because the “entrance” refers to the old entrance at the other end of the site. Once that was figured out, we were able to find the ancestors we were looking for.

From the moment I decided to contact this business,I was impressed.
I had reason to email and the response was almost instant.
Paying before I arrival was easily dealt with, with a bank transfer and a message straight after to confirm payment.
It is a Husband and Wife team that own the business and have been there for 15 years,so it is well-run and both the male and female owner are warm and friendly.
The other member of staff on the track was exactly the same.
The service and care we received was first class.
I went with my Nephew and I wanted an experience that he would remember-not just go-karting-we received this and both of us had a great time.
Thank all 3 of you so much.

After some history, a bit of their story, and some education on Gin styles, we selected our Botanicals, and set up our Stills.
When the magic was happening the time passed quickly while Jo kept us hydrated with cocktails and some of the products they make.
All too soon we were labelling, and bottling our Gin, to come home with a lasting memory from our Belfast trip.

I was lucky enough to find out that the Yarn Patch was opening softly and have been able to visit! It is in a wonderful house which is worth a look anyway and the Yarn Patch has restored the Donegall Suite into something spectacular! Serving friendliness, wonderful cakes and coffee, the real find is that this is a yarn coffee shop. Wool will line all the walls and workshops from Patchwork to Macrame to crochet and weaving will happen as will crochet and knitting classes. But!!!! At anytime there is a brilliant cosy feel and so it’s really a knit and natter at all times. It really is a real find! And the yarn basket that Claire made up for me for my aunt is just too good not to share!

You now only get limited time parking in the abbeycentre. It’s either 3 or 4 hrs which isn’t enough. It’s a big shopping centre. If you go there for shopping and lunch you could easily go past the allocated time and receive £100 parking ticket. It’s all done by cameras. So you don’t even know you’ve received a ticket until fine arrives in the post. Shame on you Abbeycentre. This time allocation should be increased or scrapped completely.
Ps. I’m not paying the fine. Check it out in YouTube.
