Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The only reason this attraction has been marked "very good" instead of "excellent" is because of the renovations taking place that are temporarily hampering activity and display within. Still well worth a visit as these "Happy Hens" go all around the world.

I loved this place as a kid, and it's nice to see all the work which has gone into it. Brilliant place to bring the kids to explore

I wandered into this museum strolling through Portobello.
    What a find!
The historical society have done a terrific job of curating this. Lots of interesting and fun things to see and snap.
We spent at least half an hour here. And it wasn't even open!
Would love to come back when it's open.

We started at the Back Beach at Port Chalmers and went around the Peninsula meeting up with the track proper. Overall the track is a pleasure to ride with great views and great conditions. We caught the boat back to Port Chalmers from Portobello. Overall an excellent ride.

Closed at time of visiting, pulled over to ask about in the next door cafe. Got screamed at by someone from the studio as I had innocently and briefly parked across the driveway. Shame.
