And I will start by saying my number one priority at any of these places is knowing that the horses are well-cared for and have good lives. And they very clearly do, at this place. The ride is through jungle type terrain and is so beautiful, with some cleared out places where there is a view. It was pleasantly breezy and cool in the shade of the ride. Now my one caveat: we paid a very high price for a private ride, which we always do because we are experienced riders and want to trot a little. I would say every other time we have done this, we have trotted and cantered even. This time, it was walk-only (we asked--they said their insurance doesn't cover trotting which seems hard to believe) and the guide put herself on what must have been the slowest walking horse on the planet. My horse was one who liked to walk on, and I was forced to continually hold him back which I did not love. They say that their website says it is walking only--I must have missed that. So I am just putting it out there in case you are thinking of paying for a private ride here--do not bother. You will be nose to butt the entire way, walking sloooooowly. This past December, just after Christmas, I stopped into Boss Frogg's in Kaanapali where Toan helped me out. He made sure my snorkeling equipment fit properly and then took about 10 minutes to show me the best snorkeling places to visit. He was a great help and the price was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and helped us select the perfect equipment for our beach activities. The quality of the clubs made our golfing experience a dream come true, and playing in such a beautiful setting was simply breathtaking. He is confident & kind & really creates a fun & safe experience for divers!
