Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- TraceyUKUKMaidenhead, UK38 contributionsVery difficult cycle and path ways have rocks, the bike coped was just tricky. Very glad I managed Riva to Ledro, just not for the faint hearted.Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adam DLiverpool, UK415 contributionsCable car is €8 return or €5 one way with a 20 minute walk down through some woods, which we did and saw a lot of bird life including a hobby hunting. It is also free if you have a Trentino guest card. Definitely worth a visitWritten 23 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - adrian792Sheffield, UK2 contributionsGreat beach day out, a mix between a beach and a park. Lots of shade, nice clean water. Water shoes recommended, cold river running into the warm lake. Basketball court, volleyball court, kids playground, outdoor gym, cafes, food places etc. plenty of parking opposite in a small shopping centre, 10 euros for the day.Written 13 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - marcusBramhall, UK13 contributionsIt’s a tough walk. We took the cable car up to the restaurant and then it’s around 1hr 40 mins of a tough walk, clearly uphill to the top and then around a 1 hour decent. Wear decent footwear and expect a hot and long climb, with the underfoot terrain very rugged (but quite incredible how they have created it, through the mountain). Definitely not for the faint hearted, but a good achievement with some incredible views.Written 21 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John H53 contributionsHaving visited most of the resorts on Lake Garda Riva is by far my favourite. It is incredibly picturesque, but still feels like a proper town and is not chocked with tourists. It is a great base to explore the Lake particularly by boat and for day trip to beautiful city of Trento.Written 22 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adam DLiverpool, UK415 contributionsThis is a good museum with different floors having different exhibitions. Ground floor was a local photographer then next floor up was paintings. Last two floors are artifacts and history. Smartphone app can give English commentary on most floors. Free entry with the Trentino guest card.Written 26 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Adam DLiverpool, UK415 contributionsGreat 360 degree views from the top of the clock tower but it is quite a lot of steps / a climb. However watch out if you are at the top on the hour (or even on the half hour) and the bell toll is very loud! - U993ABmikeWales, UK16 contributionsWe hiked up Monte Brione in July 2023. The views at the top are stunning. I would recommend this walk.Written 30 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Thomas NWroclaw, Poland8 contributionsOnly e-bike!!! It’s 1,5h to the top and 40 min back on the e-bike. It’s really for everyone. Even complete amateurs can do it. Great fun! 2 nice restaurants on the way. Highly recommended!!Written 29 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Luckily I had a tour three years earlier and can confirm it is well worth it!
Will definitely visit next time .Written 22 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Walked out of Riva old town through one of the arches and saw this church at the end of the pedestrianised road. Well worth the walk to appreciate the beauty of the inside and to sit in the peace and calm. Also very good cafe, bar adjacent for coffee/ beer.Written 9 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
