Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands6,176 contributionsMost tourists use the tram to travel to and from Venice - Mestre. It is quality transportation and to experience an Italian tram is an attraction in itself. There are two tramlines: one with end stop Favaro, the other one ends at Marghera (not the fort). Both lines go through Mestre Center. So from Venice you can board a tram with either destination marked at the front.
Keep in mind that Mestre Center is NOT close to the railway station. If you need to be in the railway station area is better to take a bus or the train.

We were kind of worried, but then the driver picked up us on time ( even 10 minutes earlier ) and helped us on lifting up the luggage. The vehicle was also comfortable and incredibly clean!Written 15 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MEZ_GDBRuislip, UK80 contributionsWhen planning our trip to Venice, we had to get from the Airport to our Hotel in Mestre so we did a quick review of taxis to Mestre from Marco Polo Airport and decided to pre-pay online for a Radio Taxi voucher from the Airport to the Hotel and also the same for a return.
We could have saved ourselves a lot of hassle because it is no different to just getting in any Taxi at the Airport taxi rank and paying the Driver.... the Fare from Marco Polo Airport to Mestre is a set flat rate of 35 euro. Pretty pricey for a 10km trip compared to UK Taxi prices but it is what it is.
Anyway, we did pre-pay 70 euros and printed off both vouchers but they are valid for those specific trips only. What they did not tell you and they do not make clear, these vouchers are not limited to the Taxis they show on their website [you never see those] but you can use the vouchers with ANY Taxi...the Taxi driver enter the voucher code in his electronic box of tricks in his cab and you are off on your trip
So, our advice to you is do not bother with pre-paying for a Taxi Voucher -just get in any cab at the airport...the prices on shown on a large advert on the rear window drivers side.Written 20 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
