Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Global666672808992 contributionsnice and quiet place , No traffic and noise from cars or motorbikes. The proper mix of Tourists and locals. you are a part of the every day life and not part of a place that is tourist attractionWritten 26 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - K OEngland4 contributionsThere is a fascinating and beautiful temporary exhibition of photographs by Edward Burtynsky. The images are stunningly attractive but if you read the captions about the subject matter, they explain about the massive destruction of our planet by destroying forests, mineral extraction and over population.

Everything was easy. There is a large ticket office as well as self-service machines in various languages.
Departure boards are all over showing the next departures.
Signs are in Italian and in English.
As always in Italy, scattered around the station there are huge paper displays showing all the departures from the station in chronological order.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - EdinburghLinda_Edinburgh, UK467 contributionsWe visited because of the fort’s historical importance. It was difficult to find out information about opening times and expectations. It appears to be open from 9am until midnight every day except Monday when it shuts at 8pm.
We took a train to Venezia Porto Marghera. The station is being refurbished and is a bit of a mess. From the station Google maps took us three sides of a square to walk to the fort- an annoying 30 minutes but it did appear that the more direct footpath was closed. Not a great walk, through decaying industrial and then bland new buildings- and we were beginning to think this was a mistake, but there was a footpath all the way.
And then suddenly there was a good footpath into the fort and it was worth going to! The original star moated structure is intact and there a a lot of historic military buildings and the odd bit of kit. It is a nice place surrounded by water and trees. It is obviously a work in progress. There is work going on refurbishing the buildings and just a few interpretation boards. There were a number of bars in some of the buildings and on a damp Thursday afternoon in late January at least two of them were open! It is supposed to be a cat sanctuary but we only saw about 10 and they kept well away.
There clearly are events at other times of the year and when the refurbishment is finished it may become a more conventional attraction. But for now it is an interesting visit for those who like things not too packaged.Written 22 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We enjoyed the breakfast, lunch at dinner. Fabienne, Matteo, Veronica ( funny and attentive!), Mara, Tara, Philothea!! You all were amazing! Not to forget the shuttle driver whose name we forgot): Thank you for an unforgettable time in Venice!Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I took a group here looking for an easy way to let them find a place to eat on their own without speaking Italian. There wasn't much there to choose from. We were tired since we just arrived in Italy so this was a flop.Written 22 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris WVenice, Italy393 contributionsHidden away in the countryside between the town and the country is this fort, built in about 1890 to protect the city of Venice, one of a string of such forts.
A group of dedicated locals have restored and continuing to restore this once important fort around Venice. They have a done a good job of clearing the site and making it a place you can actually visit.
A good guide is available but I think it is only open at the weekend.Written 23 March 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is not certain whether he was burned with a grill set on fire. Anyway many miracles have been attributed to him.
The neoclassical style facade of the duomo dating from the 1790s is impressive, though I found the masonry where it is visible without plaster as astounding. Imagine the patience and craftmanship of hundreds of workers who put the building together.
The interior is light and adorned with fine sculptures. I attended mass here, but my Italian was just not good enough to understand the sermon.Written 4 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
