Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- phat_dawg_21Alpharetta, GA17,369 contributionsThe exterior is undergoing a major renovation, but the church is still open. You just need to enter from the side.
The interior is dark, but still beautiful, especially the altars and sculpture. The three main altars were added in the early 1900’s.Written 6 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was constructed in the Middle Ages, and renovated in the Baroque style in the 18th century resulting in the building you see today.
Today it houses the tourist office and some temporary exhibitions and cultural events.Written 6 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He was the founder of the charitable work called the Little House of Divine Providence.
This one today is articulated in three branches (sisters, friars and lay brothers) who perform charitable works in Africa, America and Europe.
In order to enter the building you must ask the nun for the permission.
The nun I spoke with told me that visiting places is not for curious ones, but for people interested in Cottolengo's life and work.
The building is very clean and kept with great care.
You can see the cellar with old tools to squeeze the grapes and barrels to produce wine, the room with the utensils that were used to work the earth, flats with 1800's furnishings and the reconstruction of an artist's studio on the top floor.
You need the utmost respect for places and objects to allow anyone in the future to enjoy the visit.
Whoever wants can leave an offer in the box.Written 21 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
