Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- RLBAllenLoughborough, UK747 contributionsDecent maintained park. Good quality oaths, toilets at the bottom, segregated livestock, climbing at the summit for the kids, maintained play and nature play areas and decent car parkWritten 21 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samantha K1 contributionBooked to have a christmas experience with my children and grandchild to meet santa and the reindeer and to see the animals on the farm. It was a lovely magical experience with plenty to see and do. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food they served in the Laughing Donkey Cafe was lovely. We all had a great day and would definitely recommend.Written 8 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alison K9 contributionsThis is an amazing place with a fascinating history. It’s like stepping back in time. - Chris BF8 contributionsAn amazing three hours at the Gin Academy... Emma (our host) was hugely engaging, informative and great fun.
Learnt a lot, laughed a lot and drank far too much gin!
Best of all... you leave with your very own bottle that you have crafted and distilled yourself.

Staff were very friendly and very informative. Told me some interesting facts. It was also good that they told me the best way to go round and what to see. There’s some really interesting items. Great little cafe attached with food at reasonable prices. The cheese scones were excellent. The park is also nice to visit.Written 1 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- alan_uk1953Scarborough, UK763 contributionsWe were in Loughborough for a couple of hours and came across Queens Park. - Shirley EDronfield, UK429 contributionsEasy parking, there’s a multi storey right next to the park. Great views from the top with some enormous bells up there. Small wartime museum at the entrance and on the next floor up. Very interesting. Nice friendly staff, we had a laugh. Good place to visit and the park is nice too. Great little cafe in the park.Written 1 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Peter A10 contributionsA great place to visit. A choice of 2 routes to explore the woodland. I don't think it's suitable for wheelchair users though.
The Cafe prices are about the norm for the area and the staff are really helpful. A limited Gluten free menu is available.
I enjoyed my Gluten free sandwiche but it did fall to pieces. It might had held better if butter or a Gluten free spread had been used on the bread.
Parking charges are good.Written 19 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Sicilian Sausages are fantastic. Yesterday I also managed to get there before all the baked goods had gone...and bought a small wholemeal leaf with sunflower seeds on top. What a treat it was - absolutely delicious! Congrats to the bakery.Written 20 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tim WLeicester, UK13 contributionsGarden as lovely as ever, but disappointed that the coffee wagon had shut up shop when we got back from our walk at 2:55 on Sunday, even though the website says it is open til 4pm. Probably best to check what time the coffee van is closing before you start your walk through the fabulous gardens!!Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
