A large castle that is perfect for children to adventure in, set in beautiful raised position above the wye and with great views toward Symonds Yat, highly highly recommend (lovely cafe as well)
Roaring Meg, the chapel window's, the view from the top of the keep, the impressive moat, the great staff both at the reception/cafe, and those in the castle made this visit great.

Set in beautiful grounds we loved doing the woodland walk and then we sat and had a picnic for lunch but there is an amazing cafe on site serving baked potatoes, sandwiches, soups etc.

As soon as we arrived, we were given the most wonderful welcome by the friendliest & loveliest dog in the world, followed by a short but useful historical account of the site by the owner.
