A stunning mixture of sea and landscape, with the wide fjord giving way to mountain vistas at every turn and the Hardangervidden National Park in there too with its glacial landscapes.
I took the train to Voss, the bus to Ulvik, ferry to Eidfjord, bus to Nature Conservancy and waterfall, then ferry again to Norheimsund and bus back to Bergen.

The park features statues/sculptures, fountains, floral displays, benches, a beautiful lake, a picturesque gazebo, and well-manicured lawn.
And make sure to see the statue of Edvard Grieg, Norway's most famous composer, near Grieg Hall & near the delightful gazebo in the middle of the far end of the park.

A beautiful octagonal lake, in the center of the city’s main park, is actually a natural lake that was connected with a bay with a short strait which was filled in 1926.
We enjoyed our walk through Bergen and stopped for a rest on the benches of this lovely park.

... massive place but a good and interesting passtime , there is a decenr kafe and outside seating in good weather the outside park area with veiws over the fjords is well worth a extra hour when leaving the aquarium
Bergen Aquarium is probably the only place besides from nature where you will be able to see this sea giant so close.
