Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Happy TravellerSydney, Australia5,373 contributionsVisited today , and of course had to climb up on the roof for that fabulous view. ( easy climb) it’s easy on the eye. And a nice transition from the water. I imagine in winter it could almost be hidden if the snow came. Inside was vast with clean lines. Coat racks were vast and no security. Couldn’t happen like that in my country.

It is located near the City Hall or Radhaus and the Royal Palace.
Infront of this attraction is a huge statue of a famous Norwegian. There are also other sculptures around it. Benches are available for one’s use. Took several pictures of its exteriors and sculptures.
I’d love to see a show here before I leave Oslo.Written 10 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The view was still brilliant despite the weather and since it’s free and there was no wait time, it’s absolutely worth doing.Written 11 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We got a great show from 2 of Norways best comedians and as always this theater delivers on quality at the show! Great delivery of drinks when ordering from the table, and great view to the show! So Chat Noir delivers!Written 27 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- permiaIreland40,176 contributionsWe first saw it as the sun set and it was aglow with the golden light. A lovely sight.
It’s an impressive edifice in complete red brick. A fine bell tower soars skywards.
Completed in 1880, for 105 years it served as a pariah church. But with a declining congregation it closed in 1985.
However, after restoration, it arose anew in 2000 as a Cultural Centre hosting performances of plays, dance and more.
Interestingly it has apparently retained its status as a place of worship with a Sunday evening mass still celebrated.Written 16 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A fine sculpture of Aud Schønemann is to be seen in front. She was a famous Norwegian actress and comedienne who died in 2006. It is by Nina Sundbye and was unveiled in 2010.Written 17 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Talented musicians on fire❤️it was packed but comfortable. Everyone seemed to enjoy a great night on Friday and the afternoon jazz on Saturday. Excellent service from Richard at the bar and Manurius at the door. Drinks are reasonably priced. Good vibes. Don’t miss the chance if you are in Oslo and there is a concert at this club. It’s a treat. Ps: book early and get in about an hour before the concert to get a seatWritten 7 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a bit away from other bars and popular areas. So there's no point for me going there again.Written 20 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
