Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had limited time in Oslo but wanted to experience their walking trails so at the suggestion of a reviewer, we decided to catch the metro to Frognerseteren. After 20 metro stops we found our way to the tranquility and quietness of being out of the city. We followed the trail to Tryvannstua using the blue markers on the tree trunks. It was lovely to meet locals who were out walking with their English setters and had brief chats to them about our travel through Norway. We chanced upon the cafe which served delicious cardamom and cinnamon buns which we rewarded ourselves with together with cups of coffee! Would definitely recommend following this trail if you decide to go walking “out in the country”.

Took Metro to the end of the line at Frognerseteren and then followed signposts for an enjoyable 10KM walk down through the forest to rejoin a metro stop lower down. Tranquil forest with easy to follow trails. Came to great view over Oslo and also across to the ski jump. So close to the city and yet so much in the countyside.

Enjoy the nearby restaurant Østmarksætra. (/Oestmarksaetra)
Was there in the wintertime round Christmas.
But be sure to make reservations first. It might be pore booked for some celebration.
