Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Colosseum is a lovely theatre. I brought my grandchildren there. They quite often have films in English. Oslo is a lovely city with amazing art and literature. They have built a wonderful library, a museum dedicated to Munch and a fabulous art gallery. The public transport system is excellent and it's very easy to get around. The parks are lovely and of course the Nobel Peace centre is a must see.

Chill out with comfortable seating, tables, snacks, wine and really quality movies. More cinemas should be like this!

A great small movie theatre in the heart of Oslo that show's everything from Hollywood movies, to rare gems of yore. Be it movies for the Balkans or classic Hong Kong cinema, you can find it here. The audiences you find here are mostly a mature collection from all walks of life.

They have 2 screens where one is quite a bit larger than the other. Super comfortable seats, and you are allowed to bring alcohol (bought on site, of course) into the screening.

It's a great place to watch something different, and they mix up their screenings all the time so there will always be something for everyone. Their prices are also reasonable, and they have a membership option which downright makes the tickets cheap.

A great place for movies, but people who love movies. A must for any movie lover, and dare I say, an institution in Oslo's movie scene.

Great for watching cinema. The 3D is really good. The seats in the IMAX hall is ok, but could be better. Snack prices are too high though.

What better way to spend a rainy evening in Oslo than with a movie? The single ticket for the Ringen Cinema cost 158kc which seems expensive to me but the cinema itself is nice. The leather-like (or maybe it was leather) seats are reclining so you can get a super smooth angle for your movie viewing pleasures. I saw American Made which made for an entertaining two hour reprieve from the rain on this trip. Ringen also happened to be close to where I was staying so it was ideal for a short walk home.

despite some negative reviews, admittedly a few years back, the cinema was pretty clean (except for the loose cushions), so we would go again. By UK comparisons,

This cinema is quite all right. But the seats are not very comfortable.
