Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place to spend half an hour. Quite an impressive array of paintings and huge area to wonder around for a bit. Upstairs rooms were closed to public.

Khartoum is my favourite place to hang out in Oslo! The atmosphere is always great and you feel included to meet new people or dance to your next favourite music. Try out their delicious drinks like the cucumber gin tonic. Highly recommended!

We joined the excursion around the villa first and then had a great lunch on a balcony with a spectacular view of Oslo. It was definitely worth a 30 minute walk from the Vigeland park.

Intimate cafe with nice food and top service. Small but nice gallery in connection with the cafe makes an interesting concept worth visiting!

It was interesting to see the temporary exhibition in this central Gallery.

Works by the well known artist had amongst them some striking pieces.

While visiting the Barcode we looked forward to seeing the publicised temporary exhibit. But too late.

Not realising that the current one ended on the 5th, it was some days later that we arrived. Staff were lovely, and apologetic. And were busy preparing for the next displays. Scheduled to open post our time in Oslo.

Housed in a modern, utilitarian building, this is a very good collection of contemporary art, and the place is owned and run by the artists. The exhibits change frequently, so go back, even if you've visited in the past. It has a very good cafe, place for kids to be entertained, a book shop, movie theater and a restaurant with outdoor seating overlooking the Royal gardens. It is open all week, except Mondays. Opening hours are longer on Thursdays.

Beautiful shop with hand picked items. The owner has first hand knowledge and an special interest in retro lamps. Great place for furniture from the 50s and 60s.

The gallery is located in one of the modern new buildings in the very trendy Tjuvholmen area in the old Oslo docklands. The discreet entrance leads you in to an amazing exhibition of colour photography by a Norwegian art photographer usually known for his black and whites, Kåre Kivijärvi. The gallery is linked to an older, quite prestigious gallery on an island in the Oslo fjord, and shows contemporary art.
This exhibition will last until 15th September..

Galleri Format is one of Oslo's interesting small galleries. It is situated next to several other small interesting galleries. Format presents glass, porcelain and other kinds of sculpture. Exibition openings are on Thursdays in several galleries.

This exhibition, Guernica, with Vebjørn Sand was not so good as the last one in 2015. Quantity before quality?

This is an outstanding gallery with well-curated exhibitions. A perfect gallery if you're a first-time buyer or a long time collector. QB Gallery represents a collection of brilliant contemporary artists which absolutely compliments their beautiful gallery space. Highly recommended.
