Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The exterior of this building is quite ugly and looks brutalist in nature - Soviet type design. Entry is free, you just have to go through the security scan to enter. Upon entry, you can walk around in the main hall which has interesting murals and is a huge, airy space. It's also where they award the Nobel Peace Prize. Worth taking some pics.

This is one of the attractions located along Johans Gate. There are 2 big Tiger statues infront of it and a big park as well. I guess this is where they make the LAWS for Norway.

During my visit, there are some exhibits going on in front of this attraction/ park. Took some pictures and proceeded with my walk along the Johans Gate.

I liked the statue in front of the hall. Inside there are many restaurants to choose from. We didn't eat here but it was good to see.

Tons of restaurants, the sculpture park, the art museum, and lovely views of the harbor make it a great place to walk around. Plus, there is a little beach where you can swim.

This is not a district that overwhelms the visitor. It is unique architecture and an integration of business structures with unique designs within a larger district with apartment buildings of less distinction. We were impressed.

Do take the bridge over the railroad tracks as part of your visit to this district.

First of all the closing times on the visit Oslo website were incorrect. They close at 16:00 in the winter month. No audio to follow and very limited signage in English. We definitely wanted to understand and know more but couldn’t understand anything. Our visit was however saved by the wonderfully friendly Director who was giving a private tour to colleagues from Germany. She invited us along on the tour and took us down to the bunker. She gave us a guided tour in English which was absolutely heartfelt. We were a bit rushed as the centre was closing. Without the private bunker tour it wouldn’t have been value for money.

The work they do there is important but they can do more to accommodate the international audience as all the signage is in Norwegian. We were provided with tablets but it wasn’t easy to follow and feel the real message wasn’t being conveyed as well as it could of.

An amazing experience to visit and see this modern and grand Grand Mosque built by the Oslo Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. At the time the Centenary year of the women's wing of the movement was being commemorated, the mosque had been opened to the public to visit and share in the celebrations. There are multiple prayer halls where you can worship and contemplate or make your private prayer.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Movement believe that Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad who established the community in 1889 in India is the same Messiah that all the Worlds Great Religions (Islam, Christianity, Judaism) await. You can get free literature to learn more, often in multiple languages.

    Highly recommend this!!

Beautiful historical place surrounded by a large parc offering views over the city of Oslo. Possibility to attend one the many organized events (wine tasting, afternoon tea etc...) or privatize the place. Love it!!!! Delicious food and very nice staff!!

A pedestrian bridge that spans over the railways at Oslo Central Station. It has an apart, very interesting architecture. From it you have a beautiful view of the group of buildings called Barcode.

I spent about 3 hours walking around the grounds , taking photographs and time to stop and just sit quietly. It takes you back in time, imagining the people who were here socializing. I will always remember this place and it's beauty!

The Supreme Court (Høyesterett) is located in the heart of downtown Oslo near several government buildings. The building was designed by the late architect Hans Jacob Sparre and built in 1903. It is considered an historic building and is protected as such by the state.

The building was partially damaged by the blast during the terrorist attack in Norway on July 22, 2011. The memorial museum is also located in this government quarter.

You can't really get in or around the building as tourists. So walk past and read online is enough. Not much to see here.

    p.s Buy low sell high!

It was the largest private residence in Oslo when completed around 1901. Surrounded by an extensive park it had fabulous views over both city and sea.

Commissioned by Einar Westye Egeberg who had a major lumber business, it had the highest levels of interior ornateness.

What we see today in the exterior facades testifies to the grand Italian Renaissance Style.

When his wife died in 1930 Egeberg did not wish to continue living without her in the voluminous abode. Eventually it was sold and underwent modifications on the way to conversion to multiple apartments.
