The castle, fortress, is tranquile and beautiful, with a museum of the norwegian resistance movement from WW2 - and beautiful kodak places where you can enjoy the sights of the fiord and the posh Aker Brygge.
There is a lot of history here, plus the grounds and buildings are beautiful and very relaxing to stroll around, plus the elevated position offers magnificent views of the Oslo fjord and back into the city.
