We stayed in Xaghra and after visiting the temples used our tickets to visit the Ta Kola Windmill/Museum.

Excellent value ticket bought from the Citadel Visitors' Centre - one of a five part museum/buildings entrance fees.
Among the many interesting things I viewed in the Citadel the Folklore museum was one of the best.

Gharb Folklore Museum Gharb
#9 of 17 Museums in Island of Gozo
Many museums might have more resources, less rust and grander displays, but very few could have collections assembled with more character and care than this one.
It's a quirky, off the beaten track type museum, but definitely worth an hour of your time.
The Museum of Toys Xaghra
#10 of 17 Museums in Island of Gozo
This is a very small museum lovingly run by a very helpful gentleman, he is quite happy to talk to you about any one of his lovingly preserved toys, it was amazing to see some of these toys still working.
Karmni Grima Museum Gharb
#11 of 17 Museums in Island of Gozo
Helen who works in the museum is passionate and knowledgeable about the history of Karmni.
The presentations are well organised; well explained through the audio guide and the whole museum is very tidy.
Kelinu Grima Maritime Museum Nadur

A real "Hidden Gem" Full of Maritime history, my grandfather was in the Royal Navy during the second world war and I found this museum a wealth of history and knowledge, well worth a visit.
This museum is stuffed with Great War memorabilia from both wars and sings the history of Malta and gozo in just 3 rooms.
