Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- meinir jOswestry, UK209 contributionsAbsolutely stunning waters. It's worth a visit. Definitely get the commino ferry from Cirkewwa. Get a bolt taxi there from where you're staying. Beautiful cliffs.
However, it was packed on the beach. Too packed. Awfully packed. Litter and smell of weed!
But if you walk to the right, please watch as slippery. It would be an idea to wear trainers, not sliders! On the rocks, you can sit, have plenty of space, and jump into the clear water. Make sure you look under the water first. Went swimming in a cliff.Written 31 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The beach itself is quite busy, there is only one toilet for men and also one for women. There are no cabines available for changig the wet swimmsuits. Although it is easy to get there by ferry, the way back is a mess from there because of the unorganized ferry-departures to the different destinations .Written 2 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The tower is not that steep and the views from the top are great too - information is available in a few different languages including English. It's a shame really that more don't venture away from the Lagoon to this part of the island as there is so much to see here.Written 28 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LatifaLondon, UK11 contributionsWe went as a family with young children to visit Malta and booked a cruise with a local company. One of the sights we visited was the elephants head. It was amazing how much detail there was on the rock formation. It actually looked like there was an eye as well as the obvious trunk and body of the elephant.Written 4 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - June ASurrey, UK2,755 contributionsTo me this was one of the most interesting aspects of Comino - exploring the old buildings and by definition the history of the island - there is far more to the island than the beach. The hospital treated patents afflicted by the plague and cholera and later soldiers during World War !. There are several buildings to explore in various states of repair with information in a few different languages. Its well sign posted and easy enough to find.Written 28 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- smrgeogVancouver, Canada2,534 contributionsI had a view of it coming down from the St. Mary’s tower. There are lots of great coastal formations on nearly all the Maltese islands. Just be careful as the path is almost defined and is rough in places.Written 2 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - June ASurrey, UK2,755 contributionsBuilt to defend the South Comino Channel in the early 18th Century, this is an old fortified gun battery on the south side of the island in relatively good condition with great views of both Comino itself and its larger counterpart.Written 28 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
