Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a great day, Spinalonga was really the highlight and the views were stunning. Loved that we stopped for a little swim afterwards!
The only con is that our expectation was that the excursion would take 8-9 hours based on the booking, but there were so many pickups & drop offs along the way that the bus ride ended up adding another hour to the trip, so it was over 10 hours when all was said & done

The trip was absolutely incredible! We had the best chat with George on the way to Elounda to jump on the boat. Heading out of the bay, George talked us through the history of Spinalonga, which was wonderful to hear more about, it’s a beautiful sight to behold!
We stopped in 3 places for a spot of drop line fishing. Neither of us had fished before, and we had such a laugh, it was an amazing time learning and laughing together. Demitrius (I think that was the name of the captain - apologies if I’ve got that wrong) then took us closer to the rocks to snorkel whilst he prepared the food for us. I don’t eat fish, but they prepared some fish-free food for me, which I’m greatly thankful for!

Both George and Demitrius had to take any fish off my line for me, which was very kind of them too.

Thank you both for an amazing day, we had the best time. George, you really made the trip incredible for us both and it was lovely just chatting away with you. Thank you for having us both on the trip.

If you’re thinking about doing this trip, I fully recommend it! This is our second time to Crete, and this 3 hour boat fishing trip was quite possible our favourite trip we have done on the beautiful island of Crete. 10/10, fully recommend ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our driver & guide, Panagioti, made our tour excellent. He picked us up promptly at the cruise port and tailor made our itinerary to interest my 3 teenagers. They really wanted to see Zeus’s cave and Panagioti let us know exactly what to expect. We then went to the Mythological Thematic Park which was extremely interesting. We next had a lovely traditional Greek lunch with local wine. He then brought us to a cute seaside area about 30 minutes from the port with lots of shopping, bars, & restaurants. Panagiota was a very competent and safe driver and gave us lots of interesting history and fun facts about Crete along the way.

What an amazing day! Our guide Gaetan was exceptional and made our day so memorable! The cave was so cool to see as well as off-roading on the mountain. Gaetan was very attentive and great driver and made us all happy and laughing the whole day. He was a pleasure to be around and if I could give him 10 stars review, I would. Thank you so much for a beautiful authentic experience in Crete :)

Embark on an exploration journey to the South Coast of Crete via a picturesque route from the North while absorb the best of Cretan culture from visiting one of the best olive oil factories, villages, forests and experience a genuine Cretan active lifestyle mini-hike in a beautiful gorge. Panos our dedicated tour guide was outstanding in terms of safety and knowledge of every detail that we saw.

Our journey began with great view points nearby Eludna into the Marbella bay followed by authentic village experience in Kristi and another town covered in lovely colored doors and mulberry trees. We learned alot about the fauna that grows on Crete. We also visited great villages and I shopped handmade tablecloths while met senior Cretan villagers who were kind and always bid you adieu with a smile. We continued our journey to the forest followed by lunch in one of the best mountain village restaurants in Crete. We then did a wuick hike followed by ending the trip in a strikingly blue beach!

Panos is definately one of the most experienced and pleasurable guides that I have seen in my decades of travelling. This os well worth every minute and highly recommended for those that want a real exciting Cretan one day excursion.

We had a fun tour, our tour guide was Jean Paul, he was informative, and attentive. He took us to many places, including an Olive Oil factory and stopped on route to Spinalonga,so we could take photos of the amazing vista. The speedboat was very welcome, with a cooling breeze, it was a very hot day . Afterwards we had lunch which was very tasty, we decided not to do the caves, so Jean Paul took us to a monastery, which was very beautiful , all in all, we had a great day. Thank you Jean Paul, wishing you well with your acting.

Absolutely amazing private two hour sunset tour in a small motor boat! We boated by an island of nearly extinct Cretan goats and watched them climbing the rocky shores. We swam in the clear blue water in a cove of that island with the mountains of Crete in the background. We explored the coastline back towards Elounda while watching the sunset behind the mountains and navigating into small inlets with birds nesting in the cliffs. Once the sun had set, we cruised by the store front businesses and lights of Agio Nikolaos. Dress to swim/be wet. And be aware that fuel is not included. The amount used will be calculated at the end (for us: 25 Euro, but I sense that’s the low end- esp if you do the four hour tour.). We loved our trip with John and would do it again! The business is very laid back- they even helped us call a taxi to get back to our hotel.

We were picked up from our Hotel at 0930 at the specified time. Our guide Enrico was Italian and spoke very good English, he was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful especially when going up the richtis gorge to the mountain waterfall where I went for a dip in the cool water for some good photos.
We visited an olive farm and had a taste session which was good the staff were all very friendly as well.
The views from the Taverna where we stopped for lunch were amazing and the food was local and very nice. After lunch we headed to the ancient settlement and one of the oldest trees in the world. We didn’t feel we were rushed along and could stop and take photos when wanted. We arrived back at about 1730 after having a fantastic day and would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Enjoyed trip to Spinalonga and seeing Elounda and Aghios Nickolas. There was a barbecue with pork chop and salad(veg option available) Very nice and value for money. Our day trip seemed cheaper than others available. We booked in little tourist shop in old Malia. Shade always available on boat. Wiser to buy drink on boat than on Island! Fanta was 4 euros on Island!

Spending the day on Marina S with Captain Mike was an amazing way to spend my 50th! Mike was very knowledgeable of the area and shared interesting tidbits with us. He took us to beautiful coves to swim in the insanely clear waters. The snacks and lunch provided were absolutely delicious. All homemade by Mike’s wife from ingredients from their garden and even homemade olive oil. He went above and beyond and surprised me with a birthday cake! Can’t say enough good things about this trip. Thank you again Mike!
