Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was nice to go on the water when the temperature was raising in Crete ! One of the activities I love on the hot day!
9am slop allows to go with less sun.
The arrangements were very clear before the start and it was easy to start the journey to Dia island. We were briefed what to do and what not to do on the boat all the time which is great , specially for people who had experience sailing for the first time.
Wind was strong which is great for sailing!
In lagoon we had a nice lunch and lots of time for swimming and getting to know the members of our group of 9 people. The sailing team was professional and helpful with explanations and they also prepared us lovely lunch.
    We had lovely, fun time!

A fantastic day, organisation without fault, guide super, gorge spectacular.

Coach was air conditioned which was a god send at the end of the day as the last 3km of the walk was hot beyond anything I've experienced (although from the UK so not a high bar!), really well driven on some very mountainous roads.

Guide gave just the right amount of information and some interesting facts during the coach journey without overdoing it. Available without being in in your face, basicly you make your own way down while she swept up any stragglers to ensure every makes the ferry.

The gorge is spectacular and I would recommend to anyone interested. It is nearly all down hill but it is rough ground. I wore trainers which I would not recommend if you have hiking boots (I did not bring them to Crete), by the end the soles of my feet were suffering from the rough ground. It is also very hot, especally the last 3km from the National Park exit to the ferry. It's tough but very much worth the effort, time and cost.

What an amazing day we had with the crew on the Poseidon!
I have done a similar boat trip in the past but this one was just the best experience and topped the previous tour by miles.

Free pick up and drop off to our hotel even tho it wasn’t on the list. A simple message to ask if they would collect from our hotel and it was no problem at all.

Friendly greetings by the crew when we got there.

When we got to the fish farm I noticed that our boat stayed around longer than many of the other boats that were doing the same trip. We stayed until we had seen the dolphins, we were there a good 20 mins whilst other boats spent about 5mins in passing.

The food we received at the restaurant was the best meal I had of my holiday!

Ariel the mermaid is the best host on a boat I have ever met. She got people up dancing even when the water was super choppy they all carried on entertaining us with her dance routines! We had a lovely chat with her about where she originates from and her future ambitions as a broadway singer. Emilia I wish you all the luck in the world with this but I hope to still see you on the boat when I come back!

I cannot pick one bad thing to say about this day experience. The price is really cheap for the day,
drinks on board were not over priced and it was a really enjoyable day out.

The whole experience was wonderful. Nikos was a great guide and very knowledgeable. The setting was beautiful. Elefteria taught us to make many traditional dishes and Pantelis was also a great host. We were made to feel like family.
Watching the sun go down over the mountains whilst enjoying the dinner we had made as a group was perfect.

The Lasithi mountains and plateau are a beautiful, quiet and refreshing change from the busyness of Iraklion. The walk up to Zeus Cave through mountain heath was studded with colourful wildflowers. Views down to the plateau and further to the coast stunning but affected by dust from the recent high southerly winds. Interesting stops at the monastery, ancient plane trees, old wind mills and Olive Oil factory. Delicious buffet lunch at the factory. Doula the guide was fun and very informative. Excellent driving by the bus driver.

We really enjoyed our trip to Spinalonga. The coach was very prompt and the lovely lady who was our guide for the day ( Katherina) was very friendly and informative and conducted the tour at a relaxed pace and ensured that everyone on the tour was together. The tour was a mixture of English speaking and Italian speaking people and she was able to speak in both languages and made everybody feel comfortable. The island was a very interesting place to visit and there were plenty of places to sit and find shade, but would need to take a drink with you as the island is uninhabited and there are no places on the island to buy refreshments. The boat to the island was fairly enjoyable but would say that the boat used did not have very much shade and we were on the trip on one of the hottest days ( approx 38 - 40 degrees cent.) which meant that we were in the sun for the majority of the trip to the island and back which was very uncomfortable. Also the meal (which was very good) was served on a tray which you had to balance on your knee which was difficult especially has we were sat very close to the stairs and the walkway around the side of the boat so every time somebody needed to pass by ( which was regularly) we had to keep lifting our trays up to allow people to pass. We enjoyed swimming in the sea from the boat and we enjoyed the free time around the port of Agios Nikolaos. Despite the one or two little hiccups we would definately recommend this trip.

We spent an entire day on a private tour with Leonidas, and it was worth every penny. Leonidas guided us to hidden gems in Crete that we would never have discovered on our own. He is incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and passionate about sharing the authentic essence of Crete with his guests.

Very nice tour in fantastic surroundings. Personnel were very friendly and attentive. The activity was well suited for our family with 2 adults and two teenagers (12 & 14). The only small thing we missed was more focus on the different species of fish we saw. But that's a tiny draw back in a fantastic trip that really lifted our vacation on Crete. Recommend warmly!

Didn’t know what to expect when we visited today but our tour guide Conor McGregor aka Yianni Hamalakis was absolutely amazing. Kept us captivated throughout the tour. The tour was only meant to last for a hour but it lasted almost 2 hours and that time flew by. He certainly knows his history not only of Knosos palace but many other historical events/ sites. We had children in our group and he kept them involved and also asked they questions. So if you’re looking for a great tour guide he’s your man.
