I learned more taking this tour in a few hours than I would have going by myself. Tour guide Angel was super knowledgeable and provided so many great insights. I was in Athens for work and had a day to myself - super glad I decided to spend some of that free time taking this tour. 100% recommend.

Our tour guide was Adele. She has a great sense of humour so she made the tour fun for all. Her enthusiasm for her topic was obvious and infectious. The tour included a good selection of different types of food. Both quality and quantity were really good. Adele was organized and the pacing was just right. Walking through the market gave us a sense of life in Athens. She shared a lot about her life in Athens so she made the tour personal and relatable. I enjoyed her explanation of what makes a good olive oil and the areas that they come from in Greece. I took notes about this part of the tour, which I will use when selecting olive oil in the future. Overall a really great tour and we highly recommend it.

We had an amazing experience on this tour to the Temple of Poseidon! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, making for a smooth and enjoyable trip. Our guide, Katherina, was absolutely wonderful—so sweet, knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations. She made the journey even more engaging with interesting stories and insights along the way.

The ride itself was comfortable and entertaining, with a couple of scenic stops that added to the experience. And, of course, the Temple of Poseidon was truly impressive—standing atop the cliffs with breathtaking views of the sea. It’s definitely a must-see!

A full-day tour that takes you out of Athens. The bus ride was very comfortable and it was nice to see the country's landscape. Our guide (V something) was a walking encyclopedia of ancient history. He would explain history along the way. Delphi is a UNESCO site and was spectacular to see. It is a worldly experience. The stop on the way back to the small ski resort town of Archova for lunch was fun to see too. The price was very reasonable for this full-day excursion. We learned so much about Greek history. This helped to amplify our experience at the Acropolis and Parthenon the following day.

Our guide Betty (Elizabeth) was friendly, knowledgeable and organised. Her commentary brought the Ancient Greek world to life - we thoroughly enjoyed our tour(s). The museum tour was marvellous, linking all that we had seen at the Acropolis with the incredible artefacts inside. A marvellous way to start our holiday in Athens!

The morning tour visit showing the sights around Athens city centre was amazing. The minibus was clean and comfortable and the two tour guides were polite, respectful and very friendly. It was an early morning start-8.30am but I managed to get a perfect shot of the sun rising through Hadrians Arch and we were the first into the Acropolis which was divine as we had the whole place to ourselves and could get some fantastic shots before the crowds arrived. Victoria, our Acropolis Guide, was very knowledgeable and proud of her heritage and this showed in the tour around the Acropolis. It was nice to have a two hour gap between this tour and the extended tour to Poseidon’s temple as it allowed us to have a leisurely lunch. The evening trip was brilliant for the photographs of the sun setting at the temple. There was lots of Banter between tour guide and passengers and I think the Americans got many points, the Brits got just a few and any Italians would have got none! All in All- a fantastic, informative and friendly day to see the very best of Athens.

This is a fabulous tour and a great value. We had so many yummy things and got to tour the markets. Mike was an excellent host and everything ran smoothly. After a week in Athens the food we had with him is still my favorite! He also had excellent tips and recommendations for Athens. Just go!

Chris was our guide, and he did a great job of suggesting locations to go but also being flexible. We are from the US and did this tour as our first day in Europe, so it was great to take any thinking out of it — we got picked up at our hotel and then were able to see all of the major sites. This tour was pricey, but I’d definitely recommend it!

Absolutely beautiful! Our guide, Kate, was so friendly and knowledgeable. Our driver Cosmos made sure we were safe at all times. Be informed that when you start in Athens, you are NOT with your guide, and on a large bus with multiple groups and no communication. Once you arrive, it is fabulous!

Spectacular sight and the guide was very informative. We added the museum which was worth it as not much more than the entry fee and got guided round.
Good time of year to do it as weather was comfortable for walking and wasn’t too busy.

Highly recommend! Our four hours were fun, informative and delicious. Thanasis was the best guide we had during our week in Greee (we did four tours). He was so friendly, knowledgeable, passionate and a good communicator. We learned a lot about Greek culture and about cooking. He was great with my 12 year old daughter. Thanks for a wonderful experience. Together with a great meal - excellent value for money!

Athens Food on Foot Tour – A Delicious and Informative Experience

If you’re a foodie visiting Athens, the Athens Food on Foot tour is a must. We had an amazing time exploring the city’s vibrant food scene with our fantastic guide, Lefteris, who was not only knowledgeable but also engaging and passionate about Greek cuisine.

Our group was just the right size—about 12 people—which made it easy to interact without feeling crowded. The pace of the tour was well-balanced, taking around 4.5 hours. We never felt rushed, yet we covered a lot, both in terms of food and information.

And the food—there was so much of it! From sweet and savory pastries to cheeses, olives, and traditional Greek delicacies, every stop offered something delicious. My personal favorite was the beef souvlaki—perfectly grilled and packed with flavor. And let’s not forget the Greek coffee, which was rich and aromatic, a real highlight of the experience.

Beyond the food, Lefteris provided great insights into Greek culture, history, and culinary traditions, making the tour both delicious and educational. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning traveler, this tour is a fantastic way to dive into Athens’ food culture. Just come hungry—you’ll need the appetite!

My wife and I took this class to explore Greek cuisine in more detail. The location, with its stunning view of the Acropolis, was the perfect setting for the experience. The chef made sure the class was interactive, fun, and kept everyone engaged from start to finish.

His teaching style was captivating, making the learning process both enjoyable and informative. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the chef made an effort to connect with each participant, offering helpful tips and answering questions along the way.

It was an unforgettable culinary experience that not only taught us new skills but also gave us a deeper appreciation for Greek food and culture.

We learned to make Spinach Pie, Aegean Salad, Tzatziki, Moussaka, and Galatopita. After preparing everything, we sat down to try the dishes, and they were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend setting aside some time in your schedule for this activity.
