Leslie was knowledgeable and fun. We were able to sample six local restaurants within about a 5-6 block area. - Leonard KWashington DC, DC380 contributionsFirst of all, Nuno (our guide...) was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He quickly adjusted his standard tour to our particular interests. Also, he made our tour memorable despite the surprise showers that erupted during our tour. (He ran out and got soaked to get our clear plastic roll-down flaps down quickly...and would then put them up again when the rain ended:)
Lastly, he knew the history of Lisbon, but also details that only a local who grew up there would know.

Our tour guide,John, made the tour very interesting, constantly explaining what we are seeing and the history behind it. Took us through the gardens of the palace which was an extraordinary experience. Sintra is beautiful,got a chance to walk around the old city and have lunch. Then we went to Cabo Da Roca the most western part of Europe . The views were breathtaking. Then on to Cascais, very graphic city on the water, where we got leasure time again to walk around and explore. We spent a full day and didn’t even realize where the time went. We highly recommend taking this tour of Sintra and Cascais ,it has so much to offer. The night was so well organized, with fantastic hosts who kept the energy up and made sure everyone had a good time. DANIEL AND ELISA were the best guides ever. The mix of bars was perfect, and the drink deals were unbeatable. Great way to meet new people and experience the city like a local. Despite our flight to Lisbon being significantly delayed, Amaro was incredibly accommodating—when we messaged him about our situation, he reassured us that he would still be happy to give us the tour. We’re so grateful he did!
Amaro made the experience engaging, insightful, and fun. He guided us through Lisbon’s most iconic landmarks and historic districts, weaving together fascinating stories about the city’s evolution and the key figures who shaped its rich history. His passion and deep knowledge truly brought Lisbon to life.
At the end of the tour Amaro sent us a personalized “cheat sheet” filled with recommendations including his favorite restaurants, top Lisbon wines and even nearby cities worth visiting. It was like having an insider’s guide to Lisbon at our fingertips!
