Stayed in Albufeira and drove all around the coast and honestly is the most beautiful and easy access with parking lot available. We were in Sep-2024 and it was fine. Chairs and umbrellas available to rent. There is a cafeteria near at the entrance. Water was fine and incredible sunset. Therefore, every day we went down through the old city on the way to the beaches. The streets of the old snow-white city are endless bars and souvenir shops. It's nice to walk. In the evening, all this turns into a musical and song noise. Everything falls silent at 4 am.

Plenty of shops for all including clothes, gifts, toys and a large supermarket on site. The food court has various fast food options but not masses of seating and it can be challenging finding a table at lunch and dinner times. Uber’s are really easy to use to get here and pretty cheap. There is also a cinema which does play some films in English/American with Portuguese subtitles. This is a great beach,sand is very fine,waters shallow a long way out and you have the stunning rock formations as a beautiful backdrop, we swam from here on a very warm October afternoon, it was just so cooling especially as temperatures were hitting 32 degrees Celsius.
