Several hundred acres of vineyards, a little cafe, a demonstration of wine making, and a tour through a small antique carriage museum made the time go by quickly.
The history of the estate is interesting, the location beautiful and it was great to see all the lovingly restored carriages and coaches in the museum.
Even the greatest art museums can be somewhat predictable: the greatest artists, usually European on display in rooms arranged chronologically or by country, or a mix of both.
... reasons, being the three most important ones the building restructuration (one of the best in the Portuguese Museums), the Roman cryptoporticus and mainly for the Middle Age sculpture session – don’t miss it.
We were in the area on a Monday afternoon when both their other nearby museums are closed.
This museum has excellent staff that welcome you to an absorbing adventure that is timeless and irresistible.

The museum was also interesting and the interactive speed wall charting the history of the world's fastest trains and the 'Mr speed' video both went down well with our kids.
The museum is spectacular, with an amazing trophy display, and great history of SL Benfica, the city of Lisbon, and the world since the formation of the club.
Rarely do you see this level of passion and pride on display at a typical museum, despite the county's significant contributions to history!

Air Museum Sintra
Very nice museum, managed by the Portuguese air force, that looks at the history of Portuguese civilian and military aviation.
Amazing museum for Aeroplain lovers.
Whilst the museums of Lisbon all disappointed me to some extend due to the fact the collections were all so badly labelled, the same cannot be said for the churches.
... it's many art and history, very nice outside, and inside a real juwel of art decorations, so much gold and wonderful paintings on the top; is like a wonderful museum of art, to admire in a real quit atmosphere.

The museum compares with the top similar museums in places such as Budapest.
We spent around 2 hours looking around and it was definitely one of the best museums we have ever visited.
We went to see the Maderia history museum only to find it closed, but we were handed a leaflet on this little treasure, a very comfortable cinema telling us the story of the Island a must if you love Maderia.
Unfortunately the Madiera Museum was closed, but the Film Experience was probably better because it provided a complete story of the history of this beautiful island

Carris Museum Lisbon
I’m a sucker for old transport museums and this is a good one.
Located a few tram/bus stops from the sights in the Belém part of the city, this museum gives you an excellent overview of the development of the public transportation in Lisbon from its very beginnings.
A modern and contemporary art museums with many well known artists, in a wonderful building; to visit in some hours if you like modern arts; some days free entrance .
The layout, unlike most city museums is really well set out and it was a breeze to negotiate.

Take the hour or two to wander this great museum-so helpful in understanding the strategic importance of the island, plus some really fascinating artifacts and history.
One of my favorite museums from my Portugal trip
This is one of the best house museums I have been it.
The fee is €5 per person, a bit more than the other museums in Aveiro, but as you get a little way into this delightfully intriguing place it's worth every cent.
The church is very beautiful but the exhibition is exceptional They offer an audio guid upon request ,for free The story that you follow through the exhibition is very interesting It's definitely a must visit museum
I highly recommend the Interactive Museum!
I felt this is an interesting museum to visit and learn mroe about the facts of Fatima and what exactly happened.
This one was much more fun for the kids than the science museums in Copenhagen, Warsaw or even the nice museum in Lagos, Portugal.
The museum has lots of interactive installations showing and explaining fun facts about Earth, our bodies, physics, nutrition, biology and more.
