Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I come here every now and then for a concert. Having a drink in the foyer with an amazing view before a concert is not something to forget quickly. The main hall is wonderfully designed with a very modern look. If you are in Amsterdam and have the time, it is worth looking to take a quick look inside the beautiful foyer, for free, even if you do not have the time to spare for a concert🌷🌷🌷

The Python Bridge is an interesting looking bridge with a wavy, undulating form that spans the canal between Sporenburg and Borneo Island. The strange shape is actually to allow taller ships to pass underneath.

Looks very pretty and fun to walk across a "step" bridge in famously flat Amsterdam, with great views over the canals.

To be fair, most of the KNSM island is interesting just architecturally speaking. The IJ side of the island is pretty boring, except for the water views, good for dog walking or running. With the exception of the quay crane B&B, which is kind of funny. When coming up to the end of the Surinamekade, one has a great view of the IJ, and also one can admire the circular affordable housing complex Venetiëhof, part of the Emerald Empire, designed by Jo Coenen. When exiting through the Venetiehof (enter the garden, go straight to the other side), one is confronted by a work of art, kind of like a spindle, or a compass. Go straight and keep left to follow the Levantkade barbeque park at the water side, which is what I did anyway, walk straight on and enter the house boat permanent parking, where one can find many old house boats turned into B&Bs, a dock swimming area, plus one or two nice restaurants. I tried Break Amsterdam (formerly known as Kleine Kaart), and the grilled trout was amazing. Good walking!

The Lamonggracht and the parallel canals host very interesting contemporary homes and dwellings, they seem to be a modern interpretation of the typical Dutch canal houses of the Jordaan. No tourists around and a lot of green and water. Perfect for a stroll and for those who are interested in discovering the many facets of Amsterdam, away from the main touristy and crowded spots.

It is the work of artist, Mark Manders. Image of two sexless human figures, standing on a low table, with a small chair behind it and a bucket in front of the table. This artwork is located in the middle of Tegelberg Square between two trees and looking over the water. It's very interesting to take a look this artwork from different points of view up close or from a distance The place, the serene atmosphere, the emptiness of the square give you a good feeling to sit there and staring at the water. It is not far from Phyton Bridge. You can take the bus 48 from Central Station to Borneo Island ( last stop ) and walk the other side of the water.

The Beeldengroep Amphitrite is a sculptural ensemble featuring Amphitrite, goddess of calm seas. With her is her son Triton, the messenger of the seas and holding his special twisted conch shell . The two are circled by a group of dolphins, playing and sprouting water into the fountain.

Most of the sculptures are too rough cast to provide a realistic depictions and lack a human quality I'd normally expect from classical figures.
