Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Modern casino. Complimentary food and drinks for playing guests. Located in the same building as the Vue Cinema, modern/new.

This cinema employs friendly staff, has comfy seats, good sound, has onsite (paid) parking and is close to Alkmaar's city center. Parking fee paid in the cinema is at a reduced price versus the machine inside the parking garage itself.

Nice place to play a lasergame. However the indoor battlefield is a bit basic with some high and low fences, a few light effects and fog machine. The staff is friendly and very helpfull.

Full disclosure: I don't care for F1, so I might not be the target audience. But when allowed to race a virtual car around with some friends, I will not decline.

And it was kind of fun to experience once. Although I feel like they could easily improve as well.

The racing itself is entertaining. There are sufficient explainers, so everybody is familiar with all the knobs and buttons in the cockpit. The pedals and steering wheel feel great, making you work hard for your best time around the lap. The hour of racing is filled with free training, a qualifier and two races. The Racesquare employee did a good job ensuring everyone was ready when needed.

A potentially great feature was the onboard radio. You can talk to the other players through a headset and a talk button on the steering wheel. Ideally, this leads to some fun banter between you and your friends. It is also used for additional explanations and commentating during the race. So far, so good.

However, when you're joined by a group of mates at a stag party or whatever, prepare for an hour of cringe. Each of them was convinced they were the funniest bloke to ever walk the face of the planet. None of them was. Not even close.

Already a minute in, I pretty much had enough of their repeated calls for beer (ha-ha), simple-minded derogatory nicknames for each other (ha-ha-ha) and remarks about peoples' perceived sexuality (ha-ha...sigh). Luckily the Racesquare employee did a great job of shutting that last one down. But, unfortunately, it was going to be a loooong hour. Oh, what a terrible day to have ears.

What could potentially be a fun feature was now the reason the experience was mediocre at best. It would be really cool if Racesquare had the option to mute specific people. Or maybe a toggle to let you communicate with your own friends only. I get that it can be beneficial to talk to fellow racers, even people you don't know. But if these people are utter numbnuts, please, for the love of god, give me the option to stop them from yelling in my ear.

Another small thing I missed was information on my own performance. Finding my own lap times, my best lap, and my position in the race was very hard during the races. However, I believe the employee said they were working on it, and I think this would be a great addition.

I hope Racesquare considers fixing these issues. I think it would be very beneficial to the overall experience. If they do, I can see this becoming a really cool thing to do for F1 fans and casual racers.

A very nice Boulder hall. The problems are nicely set and regularly changed. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The overall vibe of the place is super positive as well.
