Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Clara GVence, France81 contributionsThis beautiful beach was 5 minutes from our hotel! First day we were in love with the white sand and clear water. The water temperature was quite fresh already for middle October . They have parking and small coffee shops around. Don’t miss this in your trip!Written 18 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Paul T C25 contributionsThe walk down to the beach is well worth it. Do not be put off by some of the descriptions regarding it’s difficulty and how long it takes. My wife , me and two children did it and it took roughly one and a half hours to get down and surprisingly the same amount of time to get back up. Getting back up was not nearly as hard as I thought it would be and actually went by rather quickly. I am 68 years old and in good shape and had no difficulty with the walk. We all did it in sneakers with no problem , but I would suggest a hiking shoe of some sort. You don’t need any ankle support necessarily. The beach is lovely, the walk is very scenic, and towards the end on the way down is a large rock pinnacle that must be at least 300 meters tall and there were a few rock climbers at the time which made for a stunning view – they were like ants on a hill.Written 21 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nancy L25 contributionsA beautiful white soft sand beach with a view of the tower on top of the hill. Sunbeds for rent and a couple of small places to have drinks and simple food.
I am here in Oct on a Saturday. It's not too busy.
Water is super.
It's very windy on the west side so I came here. The sea is more calm. It depends on the weather. Here the sun starts earlier than the west side.. Just watch the season.Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not sure if it's any better than the hundreds of free beaches...maybe.
We had two experiences on the same day. We went to the north end in the morning and were not that impressed. Ten minute walk to the beach, sand nothing special and the sea not particularly impressive. After lunch we entered via the south car park and had a much better time. Shallow warm turquoise water that was great for splashing around in.
It's quite a narrow beach so it was a bit crowded even though numbers are limited.
All in all, a good day out but if you can't book tickets in high season it's not as though it's loads better than other beaches on this coastWritten 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IlyaNJMarlboro, NJ990 contributionsIs Arutas contends for the title of the most beautiful beach in all of Sardinia. Uniquely, the sand here is of the larger white-quartz type, and your feet sink in with every step. The water is gorgeous, although the sea floor drops quickly after just a handful of meters. There are several bars along the beach, with paid toilets, but we did not see any rental facilities.Written 7 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarthaGioia del Colle, Italy9 contributionsI loved this beach. The water is crystal clear. The number of visitor are limited so to go you have to check a local website that is updated in real time. Search for “Tuerredda prenotazione”. If you get there early, you’ll find a spot on the free beach. If you want a guaranteed spot, you have to reserve one of the Lidi. It’s worth the hassle!Written 10 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Angela FiloBudapest, Hungary51 contributionsnice beach, but I don't recommend it for beginner cyclists, the elevation difference is too big, every beach has as much as this one in SardegnaWritten 8 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - summafunmumVancouver, Canada122 contributionsA lovely, long, white sandy beach, just a 45min walk (or 15€ taxi) from Alghero harbour-front where our cruise tender dropped us off. Very popular with families as the water is calm and shallow. It was already busy by 10am and wish we had known to book loungers and an umbrella in advance as there were none available along the entire beach. They’d ALL been reserved. Still, we laid out our towels and made the best of it. Plenty of little places to grab a snack or a drink. It felt very local and untouristy.Written 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ColinZedBristol, UK9 contributionsYes, the parking is relatively pricey (10 Eur per vehicle + 1 Eur per person most of the day, reducing to 6 Eur + 1 Eur p/p during quieter hours) and no doubt the loungers and bar/restaurant are similarly expensive; and yes, the beach is small and very busy, but this place is still absolutely heavenly. A gorgeous sandy beach sits on one side of the peninsula offering shallow access to the crystal clear waters. The other side is more rocky, with large granite boulders leading to a perfect, deep snorkelling spot, teeming with fish. Considering you'd likely pay upwards of 20 Eur p/p to visit an aquarium, at Punta Molentis an entire family can actually be submerged in one, all day, for less, so in this sense it's actually great value. Breathtaking scenery and a lovely vibe.Written 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
