Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently lost my orange shoes with socks in them on the beach today ( 24. September 2024). Right side of the dock. Please contact me if you find them!

This beautiful beach was 5 minutes from our hotel! First day we were in love with the white sand and clear water. The water temperature was quite fresh already for middle October . They have parking and small coffee shops around. Don’t miss this in your trip!

The walk down to the beach is well worth it. Do not be put off by some of the descriptions regarding it’s difficulty and how long it takes. My wife , me and two children did it and it took roughly one and a half hours to get down and surprisingly the same amount of time to get back up. Getting back up was not nearly as hard as I thought it would be and actually went by rather quickly. I am 68 years old and in good shape and had no difficulty with the walk. We all did it in sneakers with no problem , but I would suggest a hiking shoe of some sort. You don’t need any ankle support necessarily. The beach is lovely, the walk is very scenic, and towards the end on the way down is a large rock pinnacle that must be at least 300 meters tall and there were a few rock climbers at the time which made for a stunning view – they were like ants on a hill.

So, if you're going to Sardinia or Corsica, make sure you get to do a tour of the archipelago surrounding La Maddalena Island tucked in to the northeast of mainland Sardinia and southeast of Corsica. It is simply breathtaking, with the shades of turqouise waters, smaller and some bigger sandy beaches, nooks and crannies all around these islands and just smell the salt water and feel the breeze. Having lived in the Caribbean; this is the closest I've seen to that, in the Mediterranean.

Lots of these beaches are only accessible by sea, and boat (rented or on a tour) is the way to go to make sure you really get what this place has to offer. The clearest of clear waters, wild and erratic rocks and formations, in all shades of sandy/terracotta/granite and the juniper bushes that thrive all around all of these rocky islands. If you're into underwater, bring your googles/snorkeling gear- as that's where the real show is on!

Had we stayed for longer than a week, we might have done yet another trip out and about the archipelago, just because there seems to be so many islands to see. Keep in mind that this is a national park, so please do what you can to help preserve it - no littering, and be respectful of both flora and fauna.

If you have time, do head in to La Maddalena town as well - it is rather pictoresque and quaint, and has a selection of restaurants and bars, as well as some shopping for those who'd rather do that than more swimming.

A beautiful white soft sand beach with a view of the tower on top of the hill. Sunbeds for rent and a couple of small places to have drinks and simple food.
I am here in Oct on a Saturday. It's not too busy.
    Water is super.
It's very windy on the west side so I came here. The sea is more calm. It depends on the weather. Here the sun starts earlier than the west side.. Just watch the season.

First things first, this is a beach that you have to book and pay to visit and then pay to park your car. Not sure if it's any better than the hundreds of free beaches...maybe.

We had two experiences on the same day. We went to the north end in the morning and were not that impressed. Ten minute walk to the beach, sand nothing special and the sea not particularly impressive. After lunch we entered via the south car park and had a much better time. Shallow warm turquoise water that was great for splashing around in.

It's quite a narrow beach so it was a bit crowded even though numbers are limited.

All in all, a good day out but if you can't book tickets in high season it's not as though it's loads better than other beaches on this coast

We were here last August with my family. The walk down and up the steps was quite challenging for me I have to say! The views are incredible, you can literally see the edge of the island. The grotto itself is quite a small inlet, but I'd say it's a quite underrated place. A bit on the expensive side though.

Is Arutas contends for the title of the most beautiful beach in all of Sardinia. Uniquely, the sand here is of the larger white-quartz type, and your feet sink in with every step. The water is gorgeous, although the sea floor drops quickly after just a handful of meters. There are several bars along the beach, with paid toilets, but we did not see any rental facilities.

I loved this beach. The water is crystal clear. The number of visitor are limited so to go you have to check a local website that is updated in real time. Search for “Tuerredda prenotazione”. If you get there early, you’ll find a spot on the free beach. If you want a guaranteed spot, you have to reserve one of the Lidi. It’s worth the hassle!

Parked 1km from the end in an EasyPark bay. Walked the last stretch into capo testa. Used AllTrails for an overview of all the trails around the park.
From the entrance by the cafe, went right and along the coastland path. Went to the far north area to the climb up to the rock.
Nice, though in sept was still v hot so plenty of water required.

nice beach, but I don't recommend it for beginner cyclists, the elevation difference is too big, every beach has as much as this one in Sardegna
