Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Natasha P2 contributionsOur tour guide, Andreas was brilliant. Given the constraints imposed on them I thought all the staff did a phenomenal job making the extraordinary history of the site come alive. You obviously do have to plan your visit at the moment but we loved it. This was our favourite archeological site on Sardinia. Andreas was great!Written 30 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- sfalcone2018Oxford, UK108 contributionsWent there on a late night tour of Cagliari as we landed late. Very beautiful as there were few cars crossing. Went all the way to the top where you can see the city from there, much busier in the morning. The road on the left takes you to the main shopping street and to the right, towards the murales.Written 2 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlfieLondon, UK143 contributionsI came for the tour, but unfortunately, it was all booked. When we called on the call, they mentioned it was available, but the way up there was so lovely that we enjoyed every bit of it. If you were fortunate like ourselves, and you couldn't find a ticket. You can enjoy swimming or having a little picnic under the shades—a highly recommended trip.Written 30 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Claude MVence, France1,001 contributionsWe visited this site as part of a bicycle tour. This is worth a stop. The site is a stunning example of the nuragic age, even if many questions are still unanswered.
Our guide did a good job in explaining construction techniques, the purpose of the site .
This is a mysterious place but worth a visit.Written 8 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The walk follows the coast and includes several descents and ascents of steps. After about 15 minutes, we reached the beach, where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds, there is a bar with pleasant refreshments. We felt a bit like an anthill with people constantly coming and going or looking for a place to put their umbrella. I don't know if the overcrowding of the beach was caused by the season or by the pleasant weather. We still enjoyed the beach, you can even rent paddleboards.Written 18 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lenka GZelenec, Czech Republic16 contributionsA beautiful wild place like the whole area. Access to the sea is via a rock and steps across a small lagoon. It is usually full of people. But after swimming among the rocks, it is the most beautiful place for snorkeling.Written 18 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tinaNtravelSan Jose, CA2,122 contributionsThe Cathedral looks impressive on the outside but it is amazingly impressive on the inside. Be sure to look around as the statues, artwork and woodwork are wonderful. Below the church is a beautiful crypt. The roses on the ceiling are apparently all different. It is said that there are many martyr relics in the crypt, but our guide said a mistake had been made and this isn’t the case. Regardless, it is still well worth a visit as the Cathedral and the crypt are stunning. Note that it is a bit confusing as the name in Tripadvisor is Cattedrale Di Santa Cecilia but the name on the Cathedral itself is La Cattedrale di Santa Maria and I’ve also seen it referred to as Cagliari Cathedral.Written 13 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CalzettinaToronto, Canada240 contributionsSuch a magical little town with authentic Italian life. The colors of this town are so incredible but the people by far are beautiful. We spoke to an elderly woman who was knitting by her door. She said we are poor but happy people. Life just stands still for a moment while your in Bosa. It shows down and helps you see what's so important in life. What an experience!Written 20 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DigswellWelwyn Garden City, UK60 contributionsBeautiful scenery, glorious beaches, aquamarine sea and tasty food. We had no car but were able to access several beaches and sights by bus. There was plenty to keep us entertained for a week. Despite this it would have been easier to use a car. I would like to return.Written 14 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Voyager825109Banbury, UK8 contributionsI haven't been here for twenty years - until a month ago. Walked from Paulilatino station (apart from a short lift). Was really nice to be back and was a beautiful morning there. Went on to Tamuli outside Macomer after.Written 5 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tinaNtravelSan Jose, CA2,122 contributionsThis is an amazingly beautiful Bascilica from 1335. The highlight is the statue of Mary holding baby Jesus behind the altar. The story behind the statue is as follows. In 1370, here was a terrible storm at sea and the captain feared the boat would sink. So the crew threw the cargo overboard. When the last large crate was thrown overboard, the storm stopped. The crate floated to Cagliari and rested on its shores. No one could open the crate, and a boy went to get the friar. The friars were able to carry the crate to the church and were able to open it. When they opened it, they saw the statue of Mary holding baby Jesus and in her right hand was a lighted candle. The statue behind the altar is that same statue. In the back of the church, you can see the crate on display. Regardless of your belief in this story, the Bascilica is well worth visiting as it is beautiful. Be sure to walk to the back where you will find another church as well with a very beautiful altar. Both churches have beautiful paintings, statues, ceilings and other artwork.Written 20 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jurgen BBrussels, Belgium2,888 contributionsI think it's a bit crazy you have to pay to climb a little hill to see a rock. We did like it though, but parking + 2 adults was 9 Euro if I remember correctly. And you need to be vaccinated! to climb a rock in the outdoors? how crazy can they get???Written 20 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margaret BProvince of Carbonia-Iglesias, Italy2 contributionsWhat a wonderful welcome myself and 2 granddaughters received, we arrived totally on the of chance of being able to see inside this place. At the top of the hill we could see 4 men deep in conversation, once we were there the guide asked what language we spoke when I replied Only English he informed me that he didn’t speak English but one of the other Men spoke a little it transpired that these 3 Men were studying MINERALS at university we had a fabulous time visiting here nothing appeared to be to much trouble for them. We must of spent 2 hours walking through I seriously can’t thank the young man interpreting for us enough and our guide was such a delight he was very knowledgeable and a jovial gentleman. I wish the society the very best for the future and hope that they succeed with the plans to open the second gallery I very much recommend this small but joyous historical place to visit. Thank you for your time and effort for making our visit so warm and welcoming

There are people there but the sort of people who care about being somewhere unique and off the beaten track. Highy recommend. There is a lovely cafe above where you can have a drink and incredible views.
Note- we went to the wrong Cala Spinosa first- I realised afterwards there are two. The right one is near the light house.Written 15 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
