She appeared to enjoy her job, which enhanced our experience. She ensured that we maximised our time there, and succesfully navigated the crowds to show us the highlights (and water refill points!) on a hot day. She also helped out two ladies on the tour who hadn't adhered to the dress code. It's very difficult to comprehend the amount of talent, effort, and brilliance that went into the creation of that entire complex. It is absolutely spectacular. Our guide, Laura, was outstanding in her knowledge and communication. Laura was amazing with what and how she presented the pertinent details that she believed was most important. Clearly, her background as a historian was very beneficial for the group. In some places we felt a bit rushed but I think this was due to the high volume of visitors on the day. Maria our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, funny, polite and her English was great. Lots of walking after lunch so put on your walking shoes! Oh, and remember to bring some ID for entry to the Colosseum. My favourites were the ruins and Colosseum. Long day but packs a lot in.
