What travellers are saying
- Ana A20 contributionsWe have had a trip by touristic train (price 8,90Eur/person). Duration of driving from the city to the Salinas, guide's narration, shopping in the souvenirs kiosk and driving return to the city is just one hour. It is so short. Yes, it is nice and interesting territory. We would like to spent here more time. Our kids (5 and 3 years) would like to touch the salt on the salt hill, to run on the hill, we would like to watch the views from the hill, to take breathe of that air, but we had not time for it. Just a short visit. But it was interesting.
Unfortunately, while driving to and from the Salinas, we saw rubbish areas. I don't understand why people do not care about their nature and territory beauty.Written 28 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The sand is fine, golden, and the entrance to the sea is lined with sand, not rocks. However, it also has some disadvantages - the promenade is only built on a third of its length (I saw that new works have started, but only on the north side) and in terms of location - it is neither in Cabo Cervera nor in La Mata. , but between them. Maybe in the future it will be a good recreation area, but right now, I'm not very excited.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FloreArad, Romania1,709 contributionsTorrevieja has many areas with extraordinary natural parks, so I did not expect a park, created artificially, to have this charm. What is characteristic of this park - the lake with the flags of all the member states of the European Union and several species of birds that live freely here - pigeons, parrots, peacocks, hens and roosters, etc.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nevereverlandEssex, england96 contributionsThis park is good for under 12s as it has a couple of pools and 2 water slides plus a bigger slide where you sit on a rubber ring.
Quiet a small splash park but clean and safe. It amused my two kids for four hours. 54euro for family four. Parking outside. Free sun beds but arrive 30mins before it opens if you want one.Written 26 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Firstly, this is not a review of the markets but its closest to the options given for a title of my review.
We found Torrevieja a lovely place to visit,.the walk on the promenade from where we were staying in Playa De Locas to Playa De Cura was very inviting & refreshing, it was lined with some great restaurants/ bars, there was
plenty of places to stop & " rest awhile". Loved the Marina also , local beach & pool there was lovely. We loved the market area with stalls that were endless! Loved the Centro.area. We got the train from there to the Laguna Rosa, which was on my bucket list, short little " jaunt" less than an hour. On return, we ate in the restaurant beside the fountain & paved seating area, we had a three course lunch for e10.90 each. It was delicious, and the service was prompt & courteous. Restaurant Aliiguil was the name of the same restaurant.
Visited Church of Immaculate Conception, beautiful church in a square with another fountain. I would love to have seen more of Torrevieja town itself.but time caught up on us.
Loved Torrevieja, its promenade, marina, Playa de Cura & other beach near the marina. Area spotless..
Stayed in Playa de Locas but if we go again iour accomadation will be nearer marina & Playa de Cura. Lovely vibe all along the promenade. The promenade just leads you to the different areas when walking. After that, you choose..

Stayed in Playa de Locas in Orbiplaya Sunrise apartments, just across the road from Playa de Locus. but if we go again, our accommodation will be nearer marina & Playa de Cura. Ate every evening in La Ola restaurant about two minutes from our apartment. Delicious food every evening. "OLA" to Giovana, who was our very capable server. There were very few bars open on the Sunday evening when we arrived. The area was very quiet where we stayed. Thursday evening, we noticed that there were more bars/ restaurants opening up for the weekend. We eould return again to Torrevieja for the promenade & marina vibe. We would like to spend more time exploring historic Torrevieja also..

- FloreArad, Romania1,709 contributionsThis is a rather long pier that enters the Mediterranean Sea and offers you very beautiful views. From place to place, there are benches for resting, so you can spend whole minutes admiring the sea. It should be appreciated that many people use the embankment to practice jogging. I recommend you to take a walk on this pier. It is wonderful in the morning, in the evening, but also at any time of the dayWritten 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FloreArad, Romania1,709 contributionsA small beach, but very easily accessible if you are staying in Torrevieja. Fine sand, entrance to the sea, smooth, also with sand, several restaurants located nearby to eat or drink a coffee or a wine.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marcela105Cambridge, UK176 contributionsWe have visited the Pink lake in Torrevieja as my mum heard about pink water in the lake and wanted to see it. We have researched prior to our visit, so we knew that we were not allowed to swim in the water as it was classed as natural reserve. We also read somewhere that it smells by urine as there are not toilets nearby and it was sadly true :( .
Luckily, we visited when the weather was nice but little breezy, so the smell was not as bad.
We went with a pram as we were not sure how far it is from our parked car, which was another mistake as the path was full large stones and dog’s fouls.
We have been surprised about not only the pink water but also how salty the water in the lake was. You could have seen patches of salt crystals on the shore.
It was nice experience, which you don’t see that often, so i would recommend to visit if you’re in the area.Written 19 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Toilets and sos available. A couple of restaurants serve good food but in small and slightly expensive portions.Written 26 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FloreArad, Romania1,709 contributionsA sufficiently long and wide beach, the last beach from Torrevieja to La Mata. I noticed that since May, on the beach is cleaned daily, so it's a delight to sit in the sun and take a swim in the sea. Even if you are not staying nearby, access is easy, using the urban buses that run frequently.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FloreArad, Romania1,709 contributionsThe church is located in the old center of the city and has an interesting history. The church is very well preserved, and inside it impresses you with its cleanliness and the peace it gives you. This church also appears in all the flyers presenting the city, and it is really worth visiting! The whole area where it is located is very beautiful.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LiimmoMBrowns Plains, Australia219 contributionsOur group was looking for things to see, and "Parque del Molino del Agua" caught our attention as an interesting option. It’s a pleasant walk with plenty of trees, though the shade disappears as you reach the dunes and continue towards La Mata beach via the boardwalk to the left. The park takes its name from an old water mill once used for grinding salt. The walking route starts at the Queen Mississippi Restaurant and ends at La Mata beach. Paths run alongside a manmade waterfall, making it easy to explore the park. There are seating areas under the pine trees for picnics, and you might spot some birds and squirrels in the trees. It was pleasant at this time of year.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Aurel D30 contributionsNice place! Very interesting place and not very crowded either, at opening times. My son enjoyed it. Important - they do not allow children under 110 cm to visit!
However - one very unpleasant thing - the guy doing the tours is very unpleasant and rude to us and our small children that were eager to start the tour. He either has a problem with tourists or he was bothered by our presence when he was trying to do some sort of private tour to some Spanish friends of his. Very unpleasant individual that should not be employed in a position where he has to deal with people and tourists / clients especially.Written 16 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
