What travellers are saying
- Philip CYork, ME598 contributionsIf you're going to do one thing in Pamplona. (after running with the bulls of course), I would highly recommend visiting the cathedral and museum. It is an amazing historical embodiment of the architectural history of the city through the many additions, modifications, and artifacts. I can't recall a cathedral in all of Europe that does a better job of documenting through excavation and displays. And the cathedral itself is outstanding and in excellent condition (no layers of dirt and grime).Written 29 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Julianne MBath, UK74 contributionsLovely park, beautifully maintained, clean, would benefit from a cafe, but there are plenty opposite in town. Pretty, interesting and relaxing visit.Written 8 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Margie DYork, PA735 contributionsWe were here in the evening on our way to a restaurant for dinner. It's a lovely wide open plaza, and also known for the famous Cafe Iruña.Written 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kris-goes-places295 contributionsWe stumbled on this park while looking for the citadel, and I’m glad we did. We’d had a bit of a frazzled morning, and strolling around the walls, looking down on all the different ponds and fountains and all the man species of birds was very relaxing. On a nice day this is worth a visit for a bit of tranquility.Written 17 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margie DYork, PA735 contributionsThis beautiful building is located in the old town, the heart of the city. It is near the beginning of the route of the Running of the Bulls.Written 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hans-jaguarSanta Comba Dao, Portugal22,329 contributionsThe “Monument al Encierro” is a sculptural ensemble who consists of nineteen figures among them -six bulls, three halters and ten runners- immortalized in patinated bronze, which is representing the running of the bulls along the section of the “Rua Estafeta”. Weighing more than ten tons, it rests on a reinforced concrete platform covered with tile like the one that covers the floor of Avenida Carlos III. The sculptural project was carried out in two phases. The monument was first inaugurated on July 6, 1994, a few meters from Plaza de Toros, at the confluence of Roncesvalles and Carlos III avenues. Carlos III, between Praça das Merindades and Rua das Cortes de Navarra. Very interesting sculpture:Written 18 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- rich3 contributionsthe pageantry and grace were to be admired , and if you treat the culture with respect there is no problem. but i do think it will go the way of fox hunting in the uk which is fineWritten 4 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Celeste H6 contributionsThe staff was friendly. All of the signed and descriptions were in Spanish, however, for the mor important parts of the museum I was given a pamphlet with English descriptions. If it wasn’t in the pamphlet, I just pulled up Google translate.Written 19 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maynard D7 contributionsI went here soon after the church opened in the afternoon. There were lots of tourists inside, laughing and taking photographs, and finally the man in charge of the church, turned off all the lights, except for two or three. That basically ruined it for the rest of us that just wanted to quietly enjoy the interior of this beautiful church. This place really is worth visiting, and everything is covered in glittering gold.Written 16 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nanMadrid, Spain2 contributionsAmazing museum. The building in itself is worth seeing. The permanent collection of contemporary art is very good and the temporary exhibitions varied and exhilarating. We went to the Museum's theater as well for a Dance show we loved. Highly recommended!Written 22 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AndyLFC_9Daventry, UK617 contributionsMy wife doesn't speak Spanish, despite which she, too, was enchanted and informed by this labyrinth of rooms, features, displays, hands-on experiences, and historical walk through time.
I did understand most, and thought it probably the best history lesson I've ever had in Spain.
It is inside the cathedral,, and uses many of its external space; its amazing; go and experience it ......Written 23 September 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The church looks absolutely stunning, the facade is very cool indeed, to me it looks like it's just been renovated, makes for some great photographic opportunities.
I never ventured into the church but I was content to just admire the beautiful architecture of this church.
Well worth checking out if your in the area.Written 14 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
