We cruised around drinking wine and tasting the most amazing foods and it's right in our favorite part of town with great restaurants, shopping and hotels.
Wonderful food and drink hedonistic market - lots of stalls & shops with huge choice of styles of food & drink - sherry bars, seafood / crab shops, traditional Spanish foods, patesaries ... Grab a seat if you can.

Friendly and full of small eateries - definitely worth visiting - either for cerveza/cava and some tapas or shopping for local produce.
We visit family who live in this area and they they buy their daily shopping in this market and also have a drink while doing it.

this is a place where you can have a glass of wine and some amazing oysters, do your shopping, buy some gifts, have a few beers or see an art gallery.
In addition, the outside stalls host a really excellent charcuterie and cheese shop named "Palacios" a 3rd generation butcher shop.

A couple of warnings, however....once you have started the tour, there are very few places to sit and rest; the only toilets we saw were at the end of the exhibition; and although there is the usual shop, at the e...

Nice surprise going to San Anton Market, had a good eating and shopping experience there, the market was clean and well organized.
Rather than a traditional market selling mostly groceries, Mercado San Anton has been converted to a trendy place where many small eateries and gourmet shops are under one roof.

The shop is absolutely gorgeous and full of charming quirks ("boozy books," a selection of books that'll get you a free shot of whiskey with your purchase!).
I came across this place online and decided to give it a go as part of my Christmas shopping as I didn't live far from it.

Centrally located near Mercado San Miguel on the Calle Mayor, this is a great little shop for olive oil products and gifts.
