Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- SunSeaSandalsWales, UK328 contributionsVisited here on a trike tour. The roads were pristine so made travelling easy. The scenery is stunning with a view at every bend. It can be much chillier up in the higher areas so wear something appropriate.Written 9 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jenny C15 contributionsOverall I had a great time at the Park. Unfortunately, I was unable to book an excursion from my hotel in Puerto Calero, but managed to make my own way there by taxi.
I have to use a mobility scooter and some of the footpaths are very steep and my scooter struggled a bit on some of them, and a couple of times I felt like I might topple over.
I also struggled to see the animals in some enclosures as the rocky barriers were just a little too high in places. Top marks for the cleanliness and number of wheelchair accessible toilets around the parks.
The park is beautifully clean and very well maintained, and all the staff were very friendly.
It could do with some shaded areas in the Dolphin Show area. I struggled in the Environmental Cave as it was a bit too dark for me to safely manoeuvre my scooter I was worried about children running into me, so I had to exit this attraction but what I did manage to see was very well done.
Commentaries at the shows are given in both English and Spanish.
I particularly enjoyed seeing the white tiger and the otter exhibits.
I didn't make use of the water park area, but those who did seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves.Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They say it’s the best beach in Lanzarote. Well, in this case welcome to large, white sandy beaches of Fuerteventura, just 25 minutes by ferry from Lanzarote.
There are no showers or any other amenities on the beach. On the top of the trail to the beach there is a few restaurants, which is nice.Written 27 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s well lit and a guide walks you through giving highlights of the formation and use.Written 31 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maryann BBasel, Switzerland348 contributionsSome negative reviews of Jameos del Agua meant that we had very low expectations for our visit. Thank goodness we weren't put off by those reviews! This was one of our best experiences on the island! The setting is beautiful and was very peaceful when no tour groups were present. We enjoyed a coffee and cake while soaking in the ambience and were fascinated by the unique small blind white crabs in the cave. I can see that just going to the cave/gardens for Euro 15 is a bit steep but if you pay Euro 20 to include the museum then it becomes a far better proposition as the museum was very good with some interactive exhibits for the young at heart. We managed to spend a good couple of hours here...and could have spent more!Written 7 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Deborah P51 contributionsLove this beach . Lovely and clean , sunbeds and parasols 4 euros for all day. Bars and shops just up from beach. - David DDevon, UK28,538 contributionsMonday 15th July we walked along the Paeso Maritima from our Hotel H10 Timanfaya Palace towards Rubicon Marina.
Along the way we passed this popular stretch of beach, although it's name translates as White Beach the sand is a golden colour. It is situated along the coast between the Port of Playa Blanca and Playa Dorada.
It is not the largest beach in the area but it is in a crescent shaped cove and recieves protection, from the sometimes turbulent Atlantic Ocean, from the nearby Port wall. As result the sea here is rather calm and very safe for swimmers. At both ends of the beach are large slabs of volcanic lava flow.
Visitors to the beach would never go hungry or thirsty as the promenade is lined with numerous bars, restaurants and shops with a couple of statues added into the mix. Another feature of the Promenade is safety railings, to stop visitors falling on to the beach, they resemble ships anchor chains.
At the time of our visit there were no sunbeds or umbrellas to rent on the beach, we thought that it was too early in the tourist season. However, there were showers which were working. There was a ramp leading down onto the beach which makes it accessible for everyoneWritten 31 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The passion of Cesar Manriques vision was obvious throughout the place, and his artwork was an added bonus. We learnt a lot about his worry of Lanzarote getting spoilt, and as you walked through the volcanic bubbles turned into living space, it was easy to imagine him living there. There is a gift shop and small cafe onsight too and the entry fee was very reasonable. We loved it!!Written 5 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Ann HYork, UK2,607 contributionsBeautifully laid out with cacti of all shapes and sizes, this place is a must to visit whilst on the island. There are steps and slopes to get views from different heights and a windmill at the highest point. There are lakes and ponds with fish as well as seating areas to sit and enjoy it all. There are toilets, cafe and shop too. Entrance is very reasonable. A sea of green in contrast to the landscape surrounding it.Written 5 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DoctorJoeENorth Caldwell, NJ486 contributionsIt's a bit of a schlep to get to the northern tip of Lanzarote, and once you get there it'll cost you 8 Euros per person to get inside the Manrique-designed building, but it's worth the schlep and the money to see both the structure and the lovely view of the dramatic cliffs and the "rio" (the narrow stretch of sea between Lanzarote and the neighboring La Graciosa Island). Bring a jacket, it's windy. Go on a clear day. Go in the morning or early afternoon, because they close the ticket office at 4:45 and close the building at 5:00. If the small car park at the top is full, there is an overflow lot just below it.Written 4 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ann HYork, UK2,607 contributionsA great piece of innovation by the celebrated artist, Cesar Manrique, this open air museum was owned, briefly, by Omar Sharif. Lots of steps and tunnels with rooms blending seamlessly into the rockface. An art gallery, shop and cafe/restaurant are also onsite with plenty of seating to sit and enjoy the views of this incredible place.
