Beautiful well worth visiting Seville is a beautiful city so many places to visit must like walking although the bus tours are great and gives one a great view of all to see in and around the city
We took about an hour to leisurely walk around and enjoy the sights, look at the mosaics, take photos, and watch those rowing boats or taking rides in horse-drawn carriages.

Full of charm, quiet little streets straight out of the pages of history, quaint shops and bustling bars, the 'click clack' of horses hooves, twinkling stars, sweeping views - I simply love this city!
Wander around the shady narrow streets and find lovely open squares with fountains and cafes, restaurants and tapas bars mixed with the famous historical sites and many churches and monasteries.

... "kissing street", souvenirs and local specialties shops, different shades of ocre and burgundy painted buildings... Santa Cruz is also home to the Seville Cathedral and Real Alcazar both unmissable landmarks.
All the sites within it are walking distance, and it has great restaurants of all types and price ranges, lots of history, and lots of character.

Wonderful views when one reaches the summit of the tower with outstanding vistas of Seville and beyond, along with close scrutiny of the Cathedral bells.
On piazza del Triunfo is erected Torre Giralda, in the heart of the city, a symbol of Séville, with a stunning view over the city to enjoy life and all the monuments and admiring the Cathedral bell from the torre...

In contrast to the dark cathedral with its multiple iron grilles all around the Salvador church was bright and so easy to view all the stunning works of art.
The church was largely reconstructed during the 17th and 18th centuries, being originally built, like so many other churches in this part of Spain, on the site of a mosque.

True, Seville is a stunning city, packed with heritage sites and a rich contemporary, as well as historical, immediacy round every corner, but finding this hidden gem came as a very pleasant surprise indeed!
The building inside is impressive from an architectural point of view (patios, fountains, monumental staircase, ...) and the art collection is impressive, too.

On the pre Easter week (one of the busiest in Seville) it was great that we managed to see the Macarena, with her serene face, painted tears and to be a small part of the serene atmosphere that surrounds the site.
We walked (+/- 30mins) from the city centre as we had other sites to see on the way.

... the main gateway, the flowering bouganvillea provides the most wonderful hit of colour and there is a peace and serenity about the place which is so welcome after the hustle and bustle of other sites in Seville.
The rooms are so interesting to view; a glimpse of amazing architecture and time in history.

The plaza also has beautiful statues and the most amazing up-close view of the cathedral, which can also be toured separately.
Beautiful views all around, the looming cathedral and quaint cafes, orange trees and horses, something out of a storybook.
