Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- JnVSydneyGreater Sydney, Australia26,867 contributionsThis is a-lovely part of Marbella, with its white washed buildings and tight cobble stone alleyways, it was so nice to walk around, enjoying the vibe of the place.Written 19 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Johnhunt2008Rochester, NY25 contributionsIt’s nice. The view is really great. If you like looking at fancy cars and million dollar yachts, it’s where you’d want to be if you’re in the area. We were not there at night- there during the day, and off season (March) so I can’t speak to the night life or on season crowds.
There are a number of high end stores. I wouldn’t call it a Rodeo Drive, but there are a number of them. We were treated well in the high end stores but we didn’t buy anything. It was easy enough to tell who would be laying down some serious cash on dresses and jewelry, but it wasn’t us.
It was a nice place, very clean, no litter, very pleasant and mysteriously not-fishy smelling like many sea ports can be. Is it the trip of a lifetime? Probably not, but probably a must see when in Marbella or Málaga. Would I go back? Maybe to go with other folks but probably one of those been there once, kind of places. 4/5 stars for politeness and cleanliness.Written 15 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nice wooden boardwalk as well.Written 19 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- manxseasiderRamsey, UK419 contributionsAlthough we only explored about a half mile of this promenade walkway after emerging down from Marbella old town, it was a lovely walk and completed our visit to Marbella before returning on the Fly Blue ferry to Puerto Banus. The promenade was plenty wide enough to accommodate walkers and cyclists and was well laid out with colourful paving, sculpted shelters and even some giant chess sets at one point.Written 16 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CanuckAlbertaAlberta738 contributionsA bit of an oasis in the chaos of Marbella and it is free. Dali definitely had his own style and it is hard not to be moved by his work, it is inspirational if not controversial. If you are looking for more shade the Parque de la Alameda is just north as well and full of huge shade trees. Both offer great places to wander around.Written 13 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BrookeMoralesLondon, UK2,084 contributionsThis is an open walking trail. Parking near the trails start. You will need a certain level of fitness to complete the walk. Hiking shoes are recommend. Not recommend for dogs. Not recommended for people who are afraid of hights! The trail is pretty steep, and there is quite a bit of climbing involved. Rocks can get slipppery.
Overall beautiful walking and scenery and stunning views from the top.
This isn't an easy walk, and it will take you around 5 hours with a break. Enjoy!
And please pick up your rubbish. Unfortunately lots of tissues etc..on the trail, thrown away by hikers.Written 24 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Fine religious art presented respectfully in a well-lit setting make this church worth seeing. Built on site of a former mosque after the Catholic monarchs Isabella and Ferdinand conquered this area in the late 15th century, part of their move which included taking Malaga and Granada. The church is classified by Spain as a National Historic Site.Written 8 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - manxseasiderRamsey, UK419 contributionsA lovely park, shaded by mature trees and with decoratively tiled benches along the way. Situated just above the Avenida del Mar it provides a great spot for some quiet respite from the busy retail and promenade areas, or even if just looking for a short break from the sun.Written 16 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacqui CInverness, UK650 contributionsLovely sandy beach, backed by sandunes, with toilets and showers. Free car park was nearly empty but it is November! - Kristen DOttawa, Canada40 contributionsThe Marbella Monday market, at least in January, was disappointing from a clothing and souvenir shopping perspective, but the food side is amazing. The clothing was similar to what you find in stores catering to tourists, and there weren't many bargains (except the really junky stuff), and the pottery and jewellry offerings were a bit more interesting. But the fruits, veggies, spices, plants, olives, meats -- amazing, especially in January!Written 6 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GlobetrotterNL83Greater London, UK1,133 contributionsWe enjoyed the views of the sea from the board walk. There are several points where you can leave the boards to access a beach. Peaceful walk. Free car park and restaurant nearby.Written 13 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Dali, Miro , Chagall amongst a lovely permanent collection. Interesting Latin American art collection. Very quiet ! Might be due to lack of signs !!!!
