Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The only thing that could have improved this would have been better services at the restaurant we ate at. It's a beautiful view and nice little walk. Taking the train up the hill was really neat!

We had a very nice lunch at the Hauptwache restaurant during the Christmas market. This place is so iconic they could scrimp on the food, but they don’t. The schnitzel, soup and sausages were great, and the service was attentive. Unfortunately, the interior of this building lacks the character of the exterior. In the summer it would be better to sit outside.

Many of the houses look like something out of a Grimm fairytale or children's movie. Worth visiting for the fachwerk alone.

The old town is amazing. It is small compared to say Limburg but is has some really beautiful buildings. I would recommend starting with a walking map from Tourist Information but then also have an explore on your own as there are some beautiful streets not on the official tour to the north and east of Markplatz.

Limburg is a quaint and interesting historic town not that far from Frankfurt and far more interesting than Frankfurt with its historic old wooden buildings and narrow streets all very close to the train station.

A quaint and off the main road street with Italian restaurants. Nice vibe and restaurants with indoor and outdoor siting. We ate at the Ristorante Comeback and oh did we come back! The food was great. The food is pricey but worth is.

This is a great circular forest walk for all of the family which could be done in a couple of hours or at a more leisurely pace. It involves a little heigh gain but nowhere is it steep or difficult. The trail is well signed and there are many information boards (in German and English) which explain aspects of Celtic history and customs and show how the Celtic settlement would have have looked. It is a very pleasant walk though mature forest with the added interest of being able to learn something about pre-Roman era history of the peoples who first settled here.

This is a nice bridge, at present undergoing renovation works, where you can see the statue of Saint John Nepomuk and take a very nice shot of the Limburg Cathedral

Beautifully preserved old town to enjoy - go on a market day to sit in a cafe and people watch. Lovely architecture.

Travelling solo on a spontaneous day visit to Bad Homburg, I really enjoyed this square, with possibility to dine in at reasonable prices and just few meters away from the main shopping street and the Kurhaus.

Kranzplatz has extensive rich history and in some form remembers Roman times when it was a site of hot thermal springs. Large parts of the square were destroyed during the war in 1945. Today it is vibrant, busy and interesting.

This is a lovely little square with traditional German style houses and building and set in it's backdrop is the Hoechst Schloss. This castle has old and new segments to it with the older being more historical and a much better view for lovely photos. It's set on the riverbank and has a wonderful high steeple and quaint drawbridge leading to it's facade which itself is an elegant piece of architecture with white walls. You can also venture into it's grounds u sing the steps leading down underneath the drawbridge which in turn has exquisite arched brickwork.

The Luisenplatz is an urban design dating back to around 1830 / 1832. We found and visited this area primarily as a result of the bus stop being near by, when we were dropped off here to do our own site seeing.

A rectangular square between Luisenstrasse and Rheinstrasse that was laid out in 1830 in a neoclassical style.

Also located within the square is the historic 1934 Prancing Horse Monument to the Nassau Field Artillery Regiment No. 27 "Oranien".
