This is one of the best preserved examples of German Baroque and shows very well which level of beauty German Baroque can achieve.

... a guided tour of the castle for us on a chilly November morning, but it was stunning to take in the views and we learned so much by the Historian that guided us through the longest castle complex in the world.
Highlights include the clock tower in the fifth courtyard, the Gothic church in the fourth courtyards, and the fifteenth-century “Aventinus House” in the third courtyard.

This is a big chapel and all the gold, the statues the fresco paintings , make it unforgettable.

A pilgrimage all Catholics should take
The main portion of the church nave dates back to the 8th-century but was given a High Baroque makeover by the regionally important Bavarian architects Asam Brothers in the early 18th-century.
