  • The ranking of tours, activities, and experiences available on Tripadvisor is determined by several factors including the revenue generated by Tripadvisor from these bookings, the frequency of user clicks, and the volume and quality of customer reviews. Occasionally, newly listed offerings may be prioritized and appear higher in the list. The specific placement of these new listings may vary.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Both Hein and Thomas were excellent tour guides, very knowledgeable and helpful. Every detail was thought through which made the day smooth and easy. Thomas was a wonderful storyteller which made the day even more interesting.

Had a delightful day with Northern Hikes in Bohemia Saxon Switzerland National parks. Pick up was prompt. We started at Mezna hiking down to a canyon boat ride. Afterwards an excellent lunch with traditional Czech entrees. We then went on to the Bastei bridge with it's amazing views and history.

Our guide was helpful throughout the day answering many questions and pointing out features.

Our guide Sam was excellent! He is very knowledgeable about Dachau and its history and he was eager to educate us. The Memorial is a powerful reminder of a very dark time and is very worthwhile to visit.

I went as a solo (American) female traveler and met another solo traveler (from the UK) so we ended up doing this together as we started chatting and hit it off. I mention this only because I would encourage solo travelers to go and to chat with other solo travelers or even just people who seem friendly. Usually everyone on these types of tours is very inclusive and happy to make new friends. It was a really fun day. Werner was an amazing guide--really funny with a bit of an Australian accent. The trip leaves a point in Salzburg that is easy to find (not always the case with day trips) and we took a bus up to the Eagle's nest. The views on the bus are amazing. When we discovered that the trip didn't include Konigsee (for some reason we both thought it was doing a quick stop there) we asked Werner if it was easy to get to as we wanted to do that, rather than return to Salzburg. It was a hot day and we wanted to head to a lake for the afternoon, not return to Salzburg. It turns out there is a bus in the town of Berchtesgaden (where the tour ends for people to grab a bite to eat) that went to Konigsee, just a few minutes away from the town. So we did that. It was maybe 2 euros to Konigsee via the bus. Then we caught the bus back to Salzburg, which was also very easy to do, and was maybe 6 euros pp. It was, however, insanely hot on the bus. Would highly recommend this company and this day trip. A lot of history up at the Eagle's nest and while we didn't have time to do the Documentation Center they do have a wall with photos and explanations of who used which room for what (for example, the view's from Eva Braun's tearoom are amazing. You don't get to say that every day). But even if you don't care about WWII the views alone are amazing. Restaurant at the top has all kinds of tasty Austrian/German things to eat and drink. Not much else to do at the very top--we thought we could dash over to the Documentation Center, based on other reviews, but you can't. But again, you will have about an hour to eat down in the town or maybe pop into the Center if you want. I believe the Center is close to where we ate. But as we went to the lake instead, I can't be positive, so maybe check with your guide before you get too into the day if you want to try to see the Center and maybe he/she will have some suggestions.

George was an excellent guide full of knowledge.
The drive was a bit warm with the ac not working. The river valley is beautiful. If you do a half day trip, keep in mind that the boat ride is maybe 25 minutes. I wish that had been more clear.

    Great trip. Well organized.
Our trip was punctual, relaxed, informative and interesting. We had a great tour guide, a great driver, and great day. The castle was beautiful.
Perched high on a rock outcropping, be sure you are prepared for much walking.
    Well worth the trip.

Johni, our tour guide, and the driver, Mr. Seneca (not sure of spelling) took great care of us. They made us feel safe on a long, interesting day even as we hit traffic or had to navigate a narrow winding road up into the Bavarian Alps. We were almost late because we were confused about the meeting point, but they we so patient and kind. It was a great day.

We took a 2 hour train from Munich to Füssen, and then another 15min bus ride up to the castle path. You will have to walk about ~30min up to the castle (probably shorter if you don’t take breaks like we did😅)but was definitely worth the view and photos though !

My granddaughter and I did two tours this week, one was a walking tour round Berlin, the other a coach trip and tour of Sachsenhausen concentration camp. they were both excellent, the leaders Lewis and Paul really knew their history. In spite of a tremendous storm Lewis managed to keep us all entertained. Paul gave us a potted history of Germany on the way there. Well done both.

The boat trip was really lovely. It took off from an area right near the museum island. You got to see so much on the trip and learned a lot. The tour guide was fantastic and the odd and off procedure was incredibly organized and everything left on time. The drinks were added, plus of course you pay, but it was nice to just relax on the boat after a long day of sightseeing.

Josh gave a very detailed understanding of the circumstances prevalent at the time and substantially increased our history knowledge by laying out the relevant facts and figures in detail.
