Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is magical – it feels like you're touching the sky 😅! The tour was very well organized. The only thing that made me hesitate to give the highest rating was the large number of people in the group, which somewhat "dampened" the experience.

The tour guide Niels is simply one of the best out there. He knows a lot about mountains, mountain climbing, and the local environment, so going with him was by far more enjoyable and educational than an average tour delivers.

Unfortunately due to the closure of the cable car and train (not advised at the time of purchase) we changed trip to glacier 3000 which I can highly recommend.
The guide was great. Glacier and the view were amazing.

Would check if the add ons are actually running before you book. The trips were still being advertised even though the cable car and train were closed for scheduled maintenance.

With just a short time to visit Chamonix from Geneva, we chose this tour. It’s listed as 6 hours from 8:30am (so assuming to 2:30pm). The “Bus Station” listed as the pick up point is just a bus parking lot with no signage (had to ask bus to bus to find ours). The departure is listed as 8:30am and we were quickly provided a wristband stating 8:30am and 5:00pm return. Itinerary and information only covered the all day tour and various options available (to upgrade if not already booked).- but nothing for the shorter independent tour. We were dropped at a Chamonix Bus Stop (Chamonix Sud) at 10am but no other information other than to meet our return bus there at 12pm. We figured out there was a handicapped shuttle bus at the Bus Stop to the Centre Ville (central tourist/shopping area) for 2 Euros each. We enjoyed our short visit to the village and returned to Geneva on time. Note there were two 12pm return buses with one to Geneva Central Bus Station and one to the Geneva Airport). One couple got on the wrong bus. The tour was as advertised, but it’s all on you to research the area and options available during your 2-hour visit. There isn’t time to visit Mont-Blanc or the train ride or lift to the top of the mountain within that shortened itinerary. We were happy with the comfortable double decker (glass top) coach, great driver, and our guide and commentary during the trip there. I would just appreciate acknowledgement of our short itinerary as wristbands are distributed and basic information on transportation options to the village to maximize the limited time there.

My first experience paragliding. We did paragliding around 12:30 and our friends who were planning to go around 2, their trip was canceled because of the weather. We were lucky.

We had great experiences! A lot of things to learn and see ! We also had a great tour guide - Garbor. He picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel, went over the plan and schedule to make sure we were able to catch everything for the trip. He walked with us through the tour and gave us the short description or history of the place is. Besides visiting the places that we would like to see, while we were in the car traveling, not only Gabor tried to get the responses for all our varieties of questions, but also provided the trip suggestions during our stay. Had a perfect time & Highly recommended - a small group tour !!

We used this company twice in two days - they are an excellent transfer company, however not really a tour operator. Their drivers are excellent; no fault of theirs - our trip failed only because we were unaware of how important it was to purchase tickets to go up the mountain in advance. Had we known how long it took to get from our Hotel to Chamonix, we could have planned our day accordingly and had so much better of a day instead of waiting for 2 hours to go up and another 3 hours to come down, not knowing that timed tickets are sold in advance. Trying to locate the proper website on the drive to Chamonix, as well as navigate the website took the entire hour drive. The private tour was relatively expensive, why not include the price of the tickets and handle it, or simply include a link to make it a simple process to complete the purchase with an explanation of how long it will take to get there? Had we bought earlier tickets up, we would have been able to get down earlier as well and berm able to enjoy the town, and then go on to Montreaux and spend a little time there as well as opposed to just driving by. It ended up being a very long day of waiting for really no reason other than the tour operator not providing simple good information.

We've traveled for many years and through all continents, but this day's tour was exceptional. First, the weather was our friend; we had the perfect late spring day. But, most stunning was the beautiful cheese farm nestled high above the Aravis Valley. The view from the farm was magical!

The farm production was fascinating, and the lovely owners showed us all the steps by first meeting the cows in the field! They make three types of cheese, all traditional to the region. The final product was a tasting paired with lovely wine and great delightful company.

Next, we were off to Chamonix for lunch and a tour. Lunch at Restaurant le Monchu featured Savoyard cuisine - fondue, brassiere, and fabulous soups and salads. It was very yummy!

Our guide, Bernadette, was informative and great company. She was determined for us to see the top of Mt. Blanc and kept looking until it cleared, letting us snap the perfect photo. The town of Chamonix is quaint, like any mountain village, but the history makes it much more enjoyable.

Lastly, our guide, Lionel, so graciously took us to all these magical places and was a joy to spend the day with. We like him so much; we hired him the next day to take us to the Gorge de Fier, which we highly recommend.

Take advantage of this tour! Experience 1786.Travel was great to work with, and the communication was quick and thorough.

This experience was outstanding from beginning to end! Nathan's ability to gauge skill level and ensure an awesome experience based on ability was wonderful, allowing for a safe excursion without compromising on adventure and views. He was super encouraging and a wonderful guide to the trails of Chamonix. We had plenty of time for breaks, and photo ops, while still maximizing time to ride. Would love to take this excursion again!!

Chamonix and Mont Blanc are beautiful, and I recommend seeing them.

Unfortunately, we were never told that the gondola, the train, and much of the town was closed while we were visiting. We were dropped off at 11:30 a.m. and told the bus was leaving at 5:15 p.m., and then started wandering through a largely locked up town.

The Office of Tourism in Chamonix was very helpful. We were able to walk 2 KM to Les Prez, and take its gondola up the ski slopes. We also ate at Josephine, which was phenomenal.

Overall, it was beautiful, and many stores began to open in the afternoon. Just make sure to look at the time of year you go, and what will be open when you get there. Apparently, mid-November to mid-December is not the best time to visit.
