What travellers are saying
- AburelBucharest, Romania2,514 contributionsI have seen many gardens but this one is one of a kind. The location, on top of a mountain sort of,makes it fascinating. The village starts beyond it. You need good shoes and good feet to be able to explore it as it has many stair up and down. The views of the sea and surroundings are spectacular and the botanical collection is exceptional. Visiting Eze Village and skipping it halved the experience for sure.Written 5 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ubud138Munich, Germany87 contributionsbeautiful village - short walk up to this beautiful medieval village, small streets and old houses- very charming. on the less positive side, very crowded even in off-season and the top of the village cannot be accessed for freeWritten 7 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pamela RLondon, UK115 contributionsSuperb walk - challenging for us oldies but very rewarding!
So for a 64 year old waiting for a new hip I did it! Well worth the effort. Just ignore the Negative Nellies - I feel fantastic!Written 28 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Stunning views with snow capped mountains on one side and blue seas on the other.
Had a picnic at the tables on the top of the mountain - could not think of a better way to spend a stunning afternoon.
Would love a fresh water fountainWritten 25 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The bus ride up and then perhaps 5000 more steps but who cares, the views, gardens, architecture, design shops, the history of being in a fortress, the fine dining, ice cream and..... Then the top of the world..or at least the French Riveria..a must do 👍.Written 10 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DuncanTCHEast Greenbush, NY1,272 contributionsChurch of our Lady of the Assumption is a magnificent church in the old village in Eze, on the first level as you walk into the old city. Eze is such a small village and the church is exceptionally grand, large and open in comparison to the rest of the village. Inside, the church has been restored/preserved beautifully with a stunning ceiling and eye-popping details throughout the side chapels. Obviously, the main altar is the focus of the building and it does not disappoint in its detail and ornamentation.
As the church has plenty of space around it, it is also a great place to meet up with other members of your party or simply enter the church and enjoy the coolness and the quiet. It's a create place to light a candle and reflect.Written 9 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Again make sure to bring water with you.Written 29 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ETHKinoParis, France552 contributionsEither take a chauffeur or you are an excellent driver as the winding road is a challenge but well worth the adventure and views. Go to the top to the grande corniche and take this road back to Nice if going that way as the other direction to la Turbie and Monaco is closed for repairs.Written 10 May 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lucverhelleÈze, France53 contributionsIt’s a nice walk, from Eze Village to
the Col d’Eze. If you have your car parked on the parking lot on the Col, it is a nice instead of waiting for the shuttle.
If you are “fast” you can do it in 30 minutes, slow means one hour.Written 9 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A good spot for a lunch. Do not hesitateWritten 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Despite its size it has a presence. It is the last resting place for French actor Francis Blanche, prominent in the 50’s and 60’s. Attached to the tiny white “Chapel of Penitents”.Written 30 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
