Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Iona is an amazing massage therapist and a wonderful person! Her caring approach, warm presence and therapeutic touch have left me in a relaxed state of bliss after each massage I’ve had with her. I highly recommend Iona if you’re looking for a massage therapist in Aix!Written 11 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The pool is exotic, like a dream and you can rest there with a warm tisane. The treatment rooms are relaxing and include a shower with wonderful products. A wide variety of treatments available and the staff very attentive. A great pleasure and will definitely return, merci!Written 29 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Blue Butler1 contributionOctavie is wonderful, both as a presence and as a massage therapist. I've been seeing her while I'm in Aix for post-surgical lymphatic massages. Not only is she very knowledgable and informative; she's also very kind and easy to chat with (if you want to chat, she can also be very quiet during the massage). I always feel relaxed and well cared for with her (and usually end up falling asleep during our sessions and loudly snoring) and the studio itself is cozy, clean, and smells lovely. Really happy I found her.Written 11 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Explorer7947971 contributionWhenever I am in Aix en Provence I take the oportunidad to take a yoga class with Alexandra, the setting g at Aroma Zone could not be better, a beautiful 1600s building. This tima I also got a private massage at her home practice, a zen place easily accesible by public transit. Highly recommend.Written 17 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RoadRose2015Dallas, TX8 contributionsOn vacation in Aix, I decided I was trying to accomplish too much - and not relaxing enough (which is what vacation is for)!
I got SO lucky with Sophie at Sadhana. The location was in the center of town, so it was wonderful just to buzz yourself into an old building for a break from shopping and eating.
The massage was wonderful. Much needed after international travel. (I must say, Europe knows how to put the "lug" in luggage)😊.
It was so good, I booked another one the next day.
Sophie speaks perfect English, if needed. The atmosphere makes you feel miles away from everything.
Apparently, there are nudist massage places around town(?)... This was NOT! It was professional in every way, with a friendly, quiet spa environment.
Loved it.Written 23 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Albane A1 contributionJust had the best massage of my life! I feel relaxed and ready to face my life again. So don't hesitate to take a Well Being break at La Passerelle when traveling to Provence. Thank you to owner and masseuse Ms. Julia.Written 13 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fabian PDenderleeuw, Belgium293 contributionsWent there with family for a relaxing time, but actually left disappointed. We had booked a package consisting of access to the spa, lunch at the Orangerie and an essential oil treatment.
First of all, I was disappointed to find out there is not even a swimming pool, which is a first for me. There are 2 very small swimming pools but they are for private aquagym sessions only. Next, the jacuzzi is not really a jacuzzi but rather a large bath tub with very little bubbles, so it's a bit of a waste of time as well. I then got my hopes up for the hammam, but there again, steam seems to be reduced to a minimum so you could spend an hour in there. Only the sauna lived up to sauna expectations.
The essential oil treatment was just ok, but when they say it will last 20 minutes, except them to use a stopwatch and end the treatment exactly after 20 minutes. It's a quick in quick out kind of mentality.
Finally, you do get a bah robe and 1 small towel.... really not enough. Both will be wet after less than an hour and you'll be wandering around feeling wet and cold.
Compared to some other spas I have been to, this one definitely is in the lower half. Even some private hotel spas are better than this one. I will not go back there.Written 8 February 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We are from Canada and spend time at Finnish spas at home so a trip to a hamman seemed a natural fit for us to try. While the experience was quite different from anything else we have tried we would definitely try again. With this being our first visit, our host carefully explained the process and what would happen exactly as it occurred. If you have never been you will spend 20 minutes in a wet sauna followed by washing yourself with a gel olive soap and the final step is to receive the “gommage” or scrub that removes toxins and exfoliates your entire body. Before leaving you spend 15 minutes relaxing with a herb tea and small snack of dried fruits and nuts. All you need is a bathing suit, everything else provided for you.Written 18 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BeautyritualsNagoya, Japan8 contributionsI have been to different massage salons and I must say that Karine is such a skillful therapist. I received a 90 mins Balinese massage and it was so therapeutic and energizing....Aside from this, the products are all organic and the atmosphere and interior is very soothing and relaxing...I will definitely come back again!Written 30 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Erwan RavenLondon, UK6 contributionsReally wonderful lady who practices the true art of Thai massage. There is power in this massage so not for the faint hearted but truly energising. Massage was done using traditional Thai clothing and some Tiger Balm around the neck. A real healer.Written 25 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Jennifer BAix-en-Provence, France273 contributionsThe best Thai massages I have ever had. And the benefits are cumulative, each time you go, you feel even better than the time before! The place itself is charming, and the care and attention to the client could not be better. Everything is great, highly recommended!Written 8 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
