Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- JSSAmberCambridge, UK696 contributionsA lovely collection in a building that is sometimes stunning because it's modern, sometimes stunning because it's sumptuously old-fashioned. Look for the big cards in a stand in each room that will tell you in English what the theme of the room (and sometimes even its history) should be.Written 29 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joszoric8 contributionsVery nice experience for children and teenagers, they can learn and appreciate the water life of our planet. Ticket price is reasonable and attendants friendly. - KomatorBarcelona, Spain950 contributionsThe Place de la Comédie is truly the heart of Montpellier, where all the shopping streets converge. It’s a lively spot, with many shops, bars, and restaurants.Written 2 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mssweetpotato47 contributionsIt got my attention this zoo while looking for activities in Montepellier because, to be honest, first said it was for free and then when we went it was beauiful and the animals well taken care but the Amazonas (which has an cost) was closed.Written 7 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JULIAN DAmsterdam, The Netherlands1 contributionGreat place to visit from montpellier to see flamingos and other nature. A Very peaceful environment. Go in morning as its cooler. Only issue is it's a bit of a walk from lattes tram stop but its on quiet path and we'll worth a visit.Written 24 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Becky CMount Vernon, OH52 contributionsMy daughter and I loved the self-guided garden tour (we did not do the house or wine tour). The garden in front of the house is a traditional, formal French garden, but when you go the the side gardens, you see many other plants, trees, etc. There’s even a vegetable garden oasis in the back, with chickens. We had been in the city for a couple days, so this green sanctuary was a peaceful way to spend our time.Written 21 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JSSAmberCambridge, UK696 contributionsEntrance is free, and there are some lovely nooks and crannies to explore, including a hidden hothouse with dessert plants. The bamboo forest is a special treat.Written 24 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RazorfishLittle Rock, AR5,275 contributionsMy wife and I visited Montpellier during and excursion on a Viking Ocean Cruise last November. It was a lovely city but the on and off rain spoiled some of our enjoyment. We saw the Arch de Triumph at a distance but the weather prevented us from walking to the site. We liked much of the architecture downtown. Hopefully, we can visit again during good weather because I like the vibe of the city.Written 24 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KomatorBarcelona, Spain950 contributionsWe visited the Promenade du Peyrou in the late afternoon. The sunset light is stunning in this spot, as are the views of the Arc de Triomphe and the Aqueduct.
