Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The most unexpected, fantastical, magical museum in Paris. Photographers will feel like they're in a dream world. Everyone else will be enchanted. So much better than countless paintings as far as museums go. You can't miss this attraction.

A friend of ours was involved in setting up this immigration museum. You'll learn a lot here about how France has always been an immigrant country. The displays are professional and interesting. This building was used in an international expo and has some lovely features as well as furniture.

Welcoming host, great setup and a nice area to visit with relaxed restaurants nearby. I’d recommend dropping in to have a look.

This treasure trove will appeal to anyone who is interested in the history of film. I was delighted at the number of hands-on installations. You can actually spin a large zoetrope! If you're only there to get a selfie with the Maschinenmensch, stay home - photos are forbidden - but if you want to learn something about cinema, this place is amazing! As luck would have it, we arrived during the Vampire exhibit. So many adorable goth kids soaking up cinematic knowledge! Bonus: There is a carousel with oddly-creepy animals nearby.

This was my first time at the cinémathèque française, which I visited specifically for the recently opened Romy Schneider exhibition.
90-minute guided tours in french are available on Saturdays and Sundays at 4:30 pm.
Booking for the exhibition and/or tour is available online and a number of options (entry+tour, entry+movie) and discounts (jobless, student etc) are available
The tour started on time, after we got an earpiece from the front desk (in exchange for an ID). All the details are explained in an email received the day before the visit.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared many additional details on Romy Schneider’s life and relationships with directors and other actors from that time. While it’s fine to tour the exhibition alone, the guided tour really added to the experience with additional context and details from the era which would not have been available from the description of each item. In addition, a detailed exhibition booklet is available from the front desk with a complete description of all the events (film showings, conferences) supporting the Romy Schneider exhibition.
Overall, the cinémathèque did a great job putting together this Romy Schneider special and the guided tour is a must.
My only regret is that the space on the 5th floor (where the exhibition is displayed) tends to get very cramped as visitors move very slowly (there are many screens showing extracts from movies which last several minutes). As our group was fairly large, it was at times difficult to get around and follow the tour
