This is a nice square which is surrounded by some beautiful buildings. There is a large fountain at the center. I would recommend initially visiting during the day but then returning in a evening as it has a totally different feel when the lights are on.

This is a one off attraction. Well set in front of the square to catch the reflections. The weather at the time of your visit is a key factor. We visited on a number of occasions, The worst was when it was cloudy and there was some rain in the air. The best were when it was sunny and also late at night when the lights are on the buildings and the crowds have depleted . Timing is a key factor.

We did not go inside the cathedral, but we looked it from outside and we were very impressed. It looked like it had been cleaned recently as the stone was a very creamy white colour. The architecture is impressive , lots of masonry to look at. The carvings are impressive. It is a very big cathedral, you can see the bell tower and the spire which stands out, especially when you see the town from a distance.

We spent a nice hour or so, shopping for delicious food on the many stalls in this great food market.
Freshly fish & green grocery & of course a wide selection of cheese.

The main bridge in the city centre is very attractive and ornate. The low level arches and brick work are very distinctive and attractive. At night with the individuals lights lit up it just adds to the attraction

This is a very beautiful massive tower or castle entrance. After completing our visit to reflection pool and Place De La Bourse, we walked to this place. We then went to a tram station near by to take the train to Olympics stadium to visit a football match. Overall good experience in the city. We also rented a car to travel to Saint Emilion and Beynac-et-Cazenac including a boat ride in Dardogne river.

We went here on our last day in the city. It is a pleasant park, not outstanding but still worth a visit and a stroll around after you have spent a few days looking at the other attractions of the city. The prices in the cafe were expensive.

Apparently this street is the longest pedestrian street in Europe! Major shopping opportunities here, although the shopping goes a bit low rent towards the end.

This is a great fountain and monument. Well worth a visit when you are in the locality. Take time to look at the two different sides of the fountains

Half-wild park near Bordeaux. Great place for picnic in hot days. Not many people and cute pond with ducks and otters.

Definitely recommend a visit. Good background information on the history of this area of Bordeaux.

Well laid out information, with useful English translation. Some nice audio bits too, again with English translation.

Not a huge place, but a good hour looking around. Good spot for photos of the area. We visited first thing on a Monday morning and had the place to ourselves.

Fountain with horses having claws as the foot, couple of kids, Queen, Shells etc provides an impressive look. Area around has lot of trees. A walk of less than 10 minutes will take to reflection pool and Place de la Bourse. A short walk will take to the cathedral Saint Andre de Bordeaux. La Maison du Glacier ice cream shop seems a famous one and quality was very good. Trams are quite good and frequent through out the city. Sculpture Jaume Plensa and the place around is good too.

The staff here are very helpful. They have maps and leaflets in English which helps us, but other languages too.

With their help we planned our next few days.

We were looking for this church on a Saturday to see waht time their weekend Masses were. As luck would have it, we were there a few minutes after Noon and foudn that they ahad a Mass 1t 12:15PM so we were able to attend. The church is beautiful and is very understated on a side lane that may be difficult to find but it is there quite close in the Grand Theatre section, just across from the tram stop. A hidden jewel.
