Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We wanted to spend 3 days biking in Bordeaux and the Dordogne and Niousha and O2 Cycles made it possible! We rented gravel bikes which were in great shape and had all the necessary gear. Niousha met us at the train station with the bikes right on time, got us set up and we were off! 3 days later, they collected the bikes in La Rouque Gageac (super flexible and even changed the pickup location to fit our modified route). They arranged luggage transport of our bags between hotels so we didn’t need to lug everything with us each day. Everything went seamlessly! Why book a guided tour when you can choose your own adventure with O2 Cycles in Bordeaux and a GPS route map on your phone. We got to explore the region and small villages at our pace and had a great time. Highly recommended!

I rarely write reviews but had to write a five star for this place. Super friendly service, chill owner…and bikes available for both adults and kids. Central location in Chartons next to river. I had gone to competitor Veloce and there were no bikes for two weeks out and they told me to go to their other location 20 miles away in wine country. Veloce couldn’t get give me an alternative nearby. Wow really? I couldn’t believe how shady they were…. Cool Bike is not going to hustle you for your money. They are honest and you should go there for bike rentals.

Excellent service , excellent value. Used twice in a week! Stayed at hotel Indigo, pickup went smoothly and delivery same day. Medium bag 40euros and couldn’t be happier. TY Damian

We rented two ebikes for a day trip from this shop. The staff was very helpful. They got us on the bikes and on our way quickly. We had a wonderful day trip on the bike path that runs through the countryside. They gave us good tips on where to stop. Our day ride was one of our highlights of our trip to Bordeaux.

Very nice experience. Rented 2 E-Bikes to explore Bordeaux. Rented 1/2 day but staff allowed us to keep the cycles even somewhat longer. The bikes were in very good shape and fun to ride. Price with 45€ for the two of us was Ok and staff very friendly. They also rent all kind of other material and organise guided tours.

First the shop is very convenient. Next we have hired bikes in Bordeaux before with mixed results so a little apprehensive. However we arrived on Saturday about 5 and a very helpful lady looked after us. The bikes would not have been my first choice but then I am picky. They had front suspension which I don't like. However they were well maintained. We cycled over a period of 4 days 110 miles without any problems which speaks for itself. The prices were also very reasonable. Yes I would go back. Cycling Bordeaux is great with wonderful cycle paths and this is a good place to hire a bike.

I really enjoyed my day in Bordeaux with Viva Bordo and my guide Jilda. We visited parts of the historic town as well as the Museum of Aquitaine.

As someone who didn’t know much about Bordeaux, or even this French region’s history, she quickly spotted my interests and adapted her tour for me; she kept me on toes and made me actually think about history, art and culture rather than just passively listening. The history of this gorgeous city was brought life, through anecdotes and hidden gems.

I will be honest, in the past, I have never decided to go for a guided museum tour, but WOW did this change my experience! Sometimes such a big museum (and one that has paid entry) can feel overwhelming as you think you must cover everything. In the guided tour I was able to really enjoy the rich content of the museum, from architecture to artworks and sculpture as Jilda had cherry-picked the best bits. We were able to have conversations where I could ask questions about the exhibitions and hear from someone who has a true love for history and culture and really knows what she is talking about and is able to share it in an accessible way.

This leads me to Jilda’s personality…she is absolutely charming and her passion for her profession is infectious. I feel really lucky to have had this amazing experience and won’t hesitate to call on Jilda next time I’m in Aquitaine. I can’t recommend Viva Bordo enough…if you want to immerse yourself in the rich culture of this region you know who to call!

    Merci Jilda!
