- MrThomas1981Ipswich, UK949 contributionsWhilst essentially a ferry service, the length of the route is enough to really make you question whether you really need to spend a fortune on a river cruise. True, there is no bar or commentary but the service is efficient and gives you a great view of the river. If you go to a tram stop and get a weekly ticket from the machine, the boat is included which makes it exceptionally good value. The only criticism is that they are not that frequent (unlike London for example) and so you do need to plan your trip. Pick up a timetable from the BTM office at Quinconces stop to help you. Although the route is circular and you can stay on the boat, once you get to the last stop, the single ticket ends so you will need to revalidate or buy another ticket if you want to take the long way round as it counts as a separate journey. If you only want to go one stop, check out which way the boat is going first. - Joanie HDagenham, UK606 contributionsWe used this tram system to get to and from the airport and to get around Bordeaux. It was so easy to use, all very clean and get out where you need your get to. Plenty of maps to look at.
My only moan would be getting tickets! Some of the machines were not working properly. One at the airport was not working, so everyone had to use one machine! So it was very busy near this machine.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Kean CliffordPattaya, Thailand97 contributionsA great 30 minute journey option to the main railway station of Bordeaux if the timing happens to fit with your flight time but at weekends (when I typically travel) with some scheduled timings one and a half or even two hours apart its almost always better to take the Ligne 1+ bus at about a fifth of the price.
