Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- e42bPaderborn, Germany9 contributionsWhat i found very much astonishing was the liveliness of the museum. In my opinion this comes from the integration of children in the museum's activities.
This place is a tip for both adults and kids.Written 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Disappointed to find the cafe closed and the toilets locked .Written 26 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The woods offer good, winding climbing paths to stretch the legs. Get the dogs out, they'll love it.
The park has good even footpaths too around the lake for walkers, bikes, pushchairs and wheelchairs. There's plenty of parking generally with a small parking space for disabled users right by the lake.
Once the weather picks up expect to see the welcome sight of the Ice cream van.
Just a lovely park, great for families, with a dedicated play area for kids. A great place too if you love birds. There are small stepping ponds where you'll spot frogs and pond-life in the spring.
Why wait, so much to see and enjoy.Written 30 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The only problem is, the nearest toilets are about 5 minutes away from where we mostly were. One of the disabled toilets was dirty too. Apart from that, it was a really great experience.Written 14 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Off their PManchester, UK4,293 contributionsThis park isn’t too far from where we live, but we don’t go there very often. There’s not loads to offer but on this particular day we wanted somewhere close by for a walk.
Unfortunately, it was raining so it didn’t look at its best, but was still enjoyable.
The gardens are very well maintained and there are items of interest around the place including statues of previous prime minister’s and local dignitaries as well.
Parking is very easy on the road outside, and it’s free.Written 9 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lydiawpBolton, UK1 contributionWe all had such a lovely time at Skipadoos especially our pooch! Lots of well made agility equipment for photo opportunities as well as free poo bags provided.
The field is very secure with extremely high fencing so no dogs can escape. The lady who runs the business greeted me and made sure everything was okay with our visit, I was also reassured that if my dog did start to dig at the fence she wouldn’t escape as they had even had it buried!
The field is well maintained with fresh water available, a picnic bench inside the field and shelter too!
The best part of the field is it’s seclusion it’s down a farm track so off the busy Scout Road and it also has its own hard standing car park right next to the field so my dogs could easily and safely get to and from my car.
I will 100% be visiting again this is the perfect place for my nervous dog with half an hour slots perfect for my dog letting off some steam.
I would highly recommend Skipadoos if you have a dogs that’s nervous, temperamental or isn’t very good at recall. It was lovely to let mine off knowing they were safe!Written 31 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
